16.01.2022 A selection of photos from our recent Handover Dinner. It was exciting to gather as a club for the first time in months and enjoy fellowship, good food and the installation of the new Board. Thanks to Ruth Pearsons, club member and Second Vice District Governor for conducting the installation of President Craig Harris and his board. Lions Hearing Dog Casper attended with his recipient Trish. Laura from ALHD presented Casper's collar, which signifies completion of training. Se...veral members of our Club assisted Casper and Trish as they settled into life together. Immediate Past President Brian presented an ALF Community Service Award to Andrew Craig for his continuing quiet achievements. Past President Brian completed the evening leading us in another rousing rendition of 'The Parting Glass'. Many thanks to MC Ian Mac for his assistance as microphone holder. We are hoping for a successful year in our challenging times. See more

10.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS - All accommodation in Naracoorte for the time of our Convention has been acquired for Police and Armed Forces who are conducting border patrols. ...All hotel bookings will be automatically cancelled. Convention Chairman Malcolm will contact all who can be identified as Lions, who have pre-booked their hotel accommodation. If you do not hear from Malcolm, or have booked accommodation at another source (caravan park B&B etc), please contact them NOW to ensure your booking is cancelled. Stand by for news on an alternate venue and alternate program. At this stage a modified program at Kingston SE is a possibility.

08.01.2022 In a small gathering this morning, members of our club were proud to recognise the efforts these 2 individuals. We note the work of Maureen Moores, particularly in her 20 year chaplaincy at Victor Harbor R-7 School. She has advocated for the health and well-being of children at the school, working on only funding from the community. Our member Geoff Pfeiffer has fond memories of working with Maureen on one of her projects at the school. Congratulations Maureen on becoming a M...elvin Jones Fellow. Our long term member Kevin Howard was also recognised with a Distinguished Service Award. Kevin has been a Lion since 1976. He served in 2 Clubs and has undertaken many Club and District roles including as District Governor, a major milestone of service. Our club is proud of our fellow member and extremely pleased to reward his many years of service. Immediate Past President Brian Yuill presented the awards. Unfortunately we were limited for space (due to covid safe distancing) at our Club Board Handover in July, so it was decided to present the awards at a morning tea. See more
