23.01.2022 Evening VHTC crew! Hope everyone is ready for a big race on Sunday! This is a last minute shoutout to anyone that is/isn't racing that would be able to help with some setup early Sunday morning. We would be helping set up the finish line area and finish arch from 6:00-7:30am. I will be there but don't expect anyone who is racing to commit, I completely understand that it pushes the race prep timeline. If you are available, please comment below so I can pass it on to Brad Butl...er who is organising it all. If you have any questions, feel free to comment too. Cheers Chad

15.01.2022 Afternoon all VHTC crew! In light of the sudden passing of local rider Mark Shields, his riding group are organising a time trial in respect. This was a former regular ride so they are looking at getting it back up and running. If you are interested, I have attached the event notes below detailing everything involved. Please note that this is not a VHTC club sanctioned event, all details are noted in their flyer.... ------------------------------------------------------------- Coast Cruzers Ride of Truth Sunday 9th August Individual time trial Victor Harbor Bald Hills Victor Harbor Arrangements Starting and finishing at the Investigator College Carpark, Bacchus Rd, Victor Harbor. Commencing from 8.30 am To make time comparisons fair, bikes should be road bikes (not time trial bikes) with no time trial bars. Riders will start individually at 1 minute intervals. Riders will be started on a countdown by a starter. Riders elapsed times will be recorded by a time keeper at the finish line (which is in the same place as starting line), and results will be available as soon as they are calculated. Time keeper is king (or queen). No correspondence will be entered into! Rider must:- Have one foot on the ground at the start. Actually ride around the turning point painted on the road at the top of Bald Hills. Not draft another rider either keep at least 10 metres behind a rider in front or pass quickly Call their name to the time keeper as they pass the finish line Note Take great care to watch for traffic, especially when turning right from Bacchus Rd onto Inman Valley Rd, and when doing the U turn during the ride. Coast Cruzers is a recreational and social group, it is not a formal club or incorporated body. As such it has no insurance. If you have concerns about insurance do not participate, or make your own insurance arrangements. Many household insurance policies include public liability. Membership of Bicycle SA, in addition to other benefits, provides insurance cover for personal accident, third party injury, and third party property claims. See www.bikesa.asn.au

11.01.2022 Attn - VHTC Members The club marquee is set up at the VH triathlon. The marque is only 6m x 3m in size. All the committee ask that we are conscious of the limited space by racking bikes outside tent and trying to be tidy with our bags/gear etc as we do have families with young children and prams. 11.01.2022 Shoutout to all VHTC members, family & friends! The Asics Victor Harbor Triathlons & Fun Run is being held on Sunday March 8th this year, the Adelaide Cup long weekend. This is an incredible event for the local community and it takes a massive effort from Sid and his team to organise. In saying that, we are hoping you can spare some time to help in the setup, pack up, or any other jobs that are required to run the event. If you can spare any time over the weekend, please com...ment below when you are available and I will pass the info across to Brad Butler who is coordinating it all. 08.01.2022 Huge thanks to Darren Buckby & Titan Performance Group for bringing ‘TITAN to you’ down to the south coast today! A great morning for a swim in Encounter Lakes, cruisy coffee ride along the coast, and the chance to try the On Running shoes range for the run. A great inititaive by TITAN and we would highly recommend it to all! Darren Buckby
