Its down time for me and I love buying fresh produce and being creative. Lucy enjoys cooking as it brings people together.... When Stevie is not at Via Porta, he is busy working on his own business @totallybon creating beautifully scented candles. ... 17.01.2022 Via Porta would like to introduce you to Nishant one of our @lecordonbleuaustralia student. Nishant has produced a Murgh Roghni (Chicken Curry) which will be available from tomorrow for a limited of time in our Take-Home Meals fridge. Nishant grew up in Indonesia in a multicultural society. He was exposed to different types of cuisines and eating habits which immediately sparked an interest in food. I was fascinated by variety of ingredients, distinctive tastes, colours and ...aromas. Nishant then moved back to India where he lived with his grandparents and spent a lot of time cooking with his grandmother. The memories & bond formed over these experiences is what really sparked the interest in becoming a chef. Le Cordon Blue has helped grow the foundations to my dream in becoming a qualified Chef.

03.01.2022 Meet Ryan Cosentino, one of the Cosentino siblings. At a young age, Ryan knew the kitchen was his calling. A big part of this decision was due to the memories that were created around special occasions. These memories all have one thing in common. Food, & plenty of it. Mont Albert is home and where I grew up with my family so it was only fitting to open the first Via Porta in Mont Albert. Being a chef to me is all about bringing people together and spending time with family... and friends over great food. The future for Via Porta is bright, the lockdown has given us the opportunity to put a lot of time and effort into our take home food and pastry offering. I believe with the return of dine in services, our vision of a multi fasset business will develop into more of a reality.

01.01.2022 Claudia is pretty happy that her favorite menu item 'Eggs Arrabiata' has made it back on the @viaporta restricted Dine in Menu. Claudia is part of the opening team at Via Porta and loves how food has given her opportunities to explore & appreciate many different cultures. She also loves how social it can be and how it brings people together. Currently Claudia is studying a bachelor of Psychological Science/Criminology.

01.01.2022 Due to the increase & demand for pastries & take-home food we will be upgrading our back of house facilities. In order to accommodate this we will need to temporarily close for a short period of time. Via Porta will be closing its store & online shop to patrons from Saturday, 19th Monday, 28th and reopening Tuesday 29th September. To keep the community caffeinated we will be operating a coffee cart out the front of VP during this time from 7.30am-11.30am
