Doing simple, isolated exercises to 'activate' your muscles as part of your warm up routine helps establish that mind body connection so you can more easily 'recruit' or engage the right muscles during more complex compound movements throughout your session. This is so important for both improved performance and therefore results as well as injury prevention We perform our pelvic floor and core activations every session as well as glutes, chest, back and more depending what session we have in store

20.01.2022 3 YEARS 3 years ago today we ran our first little boxing session at the Scout Hall Some of you have been with us that whole time, and some are quite new and may not know much about how we came to do what we do. So we thought it was a good time to tell you all a little more about it.... We moved to Geelong 4 1/2 years ago from Country Vic. In that time we have become engaged, started our business, got married, had a baby and rebranded to create VIBE!! ... Before all this Jordan worked as a Personal Trainer at Anytime Fitness and Chels managed a Pharmacy. We originally moved here for Jordan to head to Uni and study Sport and Exercise Science with the original dream to work with professional athletes. Chels had also begun her studies as a Personal Trainer. We developed a love for Health, Fitness and Wellbeing and decided our real passion was to share this with others that needed help, and empower them to improve their lifestyle and live their lives to the fullest. What is now VIBE has become more than we could have dreamed of and we are determined to continue to grow and develop and help as many people change their lives as possible. Researchers at University College London found that people in a study naturally chose tasks that required the LEAST effort without even realizing they were making that choice!... Whenever given options, they naturally gravitated toward the easiest ones. Since many people tend to skip their workouts - let’s talk about how you can apply this principle in your own life: Some days you will naturally be more motivated than others. Here’s what to do instead of skipping your workout altogether, or being discouraged on those days you aren’t feeling it. Do a workout you find the easiest! That could be taking a walk or stretching out vs. running or lifting weights. During the workout, you might find your motivation returns thanks to the feel-good hormones that your body releases in response to exercise and it will spur you to do more. 16.01.2022 Last but certainly not least of our inspiring VIBE Geelong #nomoreprebabybody Mumma's is Kirby. Kirby joined us after the birth of her second baby, Jackson. "My personal interpretation of this movement is an all inclusive #nomoreprebabybody expectations. Post-baby bodies can naturally return (at surface level) to their pre-baby shape, and those mothers should be recognised. This happened after giving birth to my first child. After my second child was delivered via Caesarean,... my body shape and strength changed. I kept very fit during both pregnancies, but the post-delivery experiences were completely different. While initially I recommenced regular exercise with a certain image I wanted to regain, it became less about that and so much more about physical strength, a mental outlet, and setting a positive, healthy example for my children. Whether you have a specific target you want to reach or a more general set of goals to achieve, do it for you, not to fit some preconceived notion of what is expected of us. After a lifetime of critiquing my body shape and negative self-talk, I still have to remind myself most days that I don’t need to aspire to look like someone else. I am now more confident with, and so proud of, my strong, post-baby body. 13.01.2022 I've been a bit quiet on here this week, I'm sure you've all missed me like crazy We have been busy getting ready to kick off some outdoor sessions next week so our fabulous clients will now have more options to train online and in person, as well as planning our next online challenge I have also been doing a course in PRE AND POST NATAL EXERCISE which is amazing. Even as a personal trainer it was hard to know what to do and what not to do when I was pregnant and then getting back to the gym after having Luca. Lot's of conflicting info out there, so I want to help ladies train safely and confidently, and stay strong throughout their pre and post natal journey and look after our amazing bodies. And as I have learnt, once post natal, always post natal. See you soon to share more of my learnings

This campaign began in 2019 to PUSH-BACK on the ‘get your pre-baby body back’ pressure mums feel, and that the fitness industry often drives (even if we don’t realise it)... It’s about helping all women to truly understand that their worth is NOT wrapped up in the size of their body and that they do not need to strive and punish themselves to look a certain way. Round 1... > You have 1 minute to complete 10 star jumps, 10 shallow lunges and 10 squat high knees. If you finish before the end of the minute then you do grunts for the remainder of the minute. Repeat 5 times Round 2 Pushups x 10, Mt Climbers x 10, Toe Touches x 10, High knees for remainder of minute.
