25.01.2022 Since starting my business now almost 11 years ago, I’ve had my challenges to say the least, building up my little biz from year to year. But I have felt like I always under valued myself in what I did or said (I’m sure that has been a feeling of insecurity since my childhood & folks that’s definitely for another post lol) And today I wanted to share my post about valuing oneself! ~ It’s been such a roller coaster ride, up and down, and I have learned a lot along the way a...bout myself and others too and with that has come a lot of confidence knowing I’m doing the very best I know how and providing the best service possible for my existing and potential customer and now I truly believe my prices also reflect that! ~ Valuing oneself is tremendously important. As time has passed and knowing what I truly put into my business, my self worth, self esteem and now valuing myself has come full circle. It’s the feedback and reviews like these that customers leave that keeps me striving to do my absolute best for you and in everything I do in my life. ~ More rave reviews, lol on my Facebook page Vibrant Healthy Living and please feel free to head over to my website www.vibrantandhealthyliving.com to check out the services I provide including private health consultations, one on one cooking demonstrations and my home made organic ghee. I continue to look forward to serving you with every ounce of my being which comes purely from the heart. ~ Living my purpose, healing others and providing the best service is what I’m about ! That’s all folks, check in with you soon and have a great week See more

23.01.2022 Hey folks how are you all doing? I haven’t really had a chance to come on lately & I wanted to say hi. I wanted to let you know how I’ve been feeling of late especially these past few weeks. I’d taken on more than I can chew, & haven’t been as disciplined with my routine as I would like to be because I just let life get in the way of doing what serves me best & honestly it was doing my head in, literally. ~... I’ve been noticing my mind & body no where as calm or happy as I can be. My emotions, well have been all over the shop like feeling sad some of the time, grumpy, emotional, confused, scattered & just feeling off basically. Does that sound like you? ~ My body needs & loves routine but lately with the added pressure I put on myself my digestion has also suffered. Skipping meals, eating at irregular times just made everything worse. I was definitely recognising the signs, so taking stock this week & re-evaluating has made me really look at the way things were heading, & it wasn’t pretty! ~ So after a few days of resetting myself back into routine, eating at the same time every day, meditating, doing my yoga, less running around, my mind & body is returning to a peaceful calm & feeling so much happier. And I’m loving myself for it! ~ Taking control, trying to put yourself first & saying no once & a while is not being selfish. It’s being kind to yourself & todays post is all about that. Once a week I train with my wonderful instructor Kirsty Welsh at karmonyfitness & it certainly fills my heart with joy. So my mantra today is Be kind to yourself everyday & nurture yourself & everything else will follow suit! Today’s pic of me working out & enjoying me time, focused on a mission to feel my best everyday. And of course tucking in my wholesome lunch of Leek & Zucchini omelette with Avocado bitter green salad! It was simply divine. Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday folks & will chat soon

21.01.2022 Today’s lunch was a lovely dish I created a while back, it’s my Tomato Mung Dahl, broccoli with cashew coconut rice and of course cooked with spices that truly warm my soul literally, like in this one being cinnamon bark, cardamom pods, cloves and bay leaves. But I’ve tweaked it slightly adding some seasonal organic broccoli to the mix. Yes, I tend to do that sometimes mixing this with that, but that’s the beauty of my recipes, you can change it up as you please even ac...cording to the season! ~ But today’s post is all about spices. Why do I cook with spices? Well, including spices in your everyday cooking not only enhance the taste of your dishes but they also have a myriad of amazing medicinal qualities, helping to stimulate your digestion, supporting tissues, physiological systems & your immunity. All kitchen herbs & spices have a particular affinity with & effect on our capacity to digest food so some of the other herbs & spices I use regularly in my everyday cooking include ginger, curry leaves, black pepper, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and fennel, to name a few. ~ Would you like to feel better with your overall health, digestion and immunity? Love to share with you in my kitchen my inspired dishes of Ayurvedic vegetarian cooking, when you book for a private health consultation during this upcoming Spring. Included in you initial consultation for the month of September you will have my own recipes to take home and a one on one cooking demonstration in my kitchen of one of my signature vegetarian dishes for you to try, so you too can get cooking and explore this amazing way of cooking. ~ Keen to learn and start a new approach to your health and well-being? Love to help you navigate and guide you on your health and wellness journey. Book your appointment with me Anna on 0415279020 or simply email me [email protected] for more enquires See more

21.01.2022 How are you all doing? Just testing out some new recipes lately & today has been another day in my kitchen creating something new. It seems ages since I’ve done a reasonable post so I wanted to pop in & show you what dish I’ve cooked today. ~ Ive called this dish Mung bean, brown basmati rice kitchari with spinach, it was so delicious an earthy taste to it & I think it’s almost right but with just another round of testing it should be good to go. Practice makes perfect they... say hey! ~ It’s been nice having my own time back in the kitchen cooking away quietly after having Orazio home for a while there, yeah as you can imagine absolutely no routine, in & out, all over the shop, cooking anytime of the day for him( of course I loved it) & now that he is back at work I have somewhat of normality! This was him making pasta for the family while he was here( yeah no doubt he will kill me after seeing this post lol) learning new skills which I didn’t teach him by the way. I can’t make pasta for the life of me! Lol ~ Anyway so back to work for him now & Alleluia, AFL footy can’t come back soon enough for everyone especially our family. And for me, I’ve definitely missed my work with everything going on, this corona virus, my family commitments, & my mother who is going to have her last month of treatment soon. I’m hoping to be back at work consulting in some form or another hopefully very soon. Thank you so much for your patience & support over these past months & I look forward to connecting & sharing with you my continuing love of Ayurveda, my cooking adventures in the kitchen, recipes & of course natural healing with essential oils too! You take care & hope to see you soon See more

21.01.2022 I’m always inspired by what’s in season & today I’ve made the most of this months winter list by making a curried vegetable soup. ~ July is already upon us and there is so much to choose from including celery, fennel, leek & beans. With the winter chills you can definitely create nourishing, warming soups like I’ve just done, curries, Dal & so much more. ~... Let’s see what else we can come up with this month and have a go at introducing digestive spices into your dishes too like cumin, fennel, black pepper, ginger, curry leaves, & turmeric to name a few. Please share your dishes too & don’t forget to tag me Vibrant HealthyLiving I would love to check out your creations too! See more

20.01.2022 Thought I show you what’s left from cooking up my ghee this morning. Yes I’m sure it’s not what you expected but here it is folks, the fat content that is left from the butter that I’ve removed. All this fat is very harmful to the body creating all sorts of problems including high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes & so on. The benefits & advantages of cooking with ghee are numerous, want to know more? Please check out my previous post on Instagram or my Facebook page vibrant healthy living for all its beauty!

20.01.2022 I’ve been using ghee for many years now & I absolutely love the taste & how it nourishes my body from the inside out. Making it now myself over the years gives me so much satisfaction to know what is involved in the cooking process but also supporting another local business like @pariscreekfarms from our beautiful Adelaide hills which supply me their butter . So are you looking for a cooking oil too that’s healthy, has a rich buttery taste, nutty flavour & aroma as well as a...Continue reading

15.01.2022 After embarking on a journey of self reflection in 2004, I discovered Ayurveda, this ancient healing approach to health and wellness. It encouraged and enabled my self care by delving deeper into this way of life, I also discovered my true self and found a vocation I truly love and my life’s purpose in helping others in their quest towards optimum health. ~ I graduated as an Ayurvedic Food and Lifestlye consultant in 2009 helping others not only to overcome their health strug...gles but to take control leaving them feeling confident and empowered. Ayurveda has also supported my core values of authenticity, empathy, trust, passion and creativity. What has been truly rewarding to me is now being able to share my knowledge, caring and serving others the best I know how. Drawing from my own health experiences in life, my passion has developed intuitively providing health solutions to my clients through my consulting practice, recipe developing and my Vegetarian cooking classes. I’ve always followed my heart and never gave up on my dreams and health, I knew one day I would find my answers. ~ Investing in oneself is the most precious thing you can do for your self. 14.01.2022 Another month has rolled by & we’ve already hit March folks our first month of Autumn and here’s your list of what’s in season this March. 14.01.2022 I’ve been amazed at what I can do at my gym sessions ! In order to keep up with everyday life, I decided some months ago to do some fitness training. Been challenging myself with various exercises of late including dead lifts & who knew I could indeed lift these weights. I would watch others do their thing & in my mind I would say there is no way I could do that & here I am 3 months in I’m doing just that! I’ve totally surprised myself from where I was to now. These past few ...months have been a very challenging time to say the least, but my workout sessions, yoga, & meditation has definitely been my saving grace. ~ I really didn’t have a certain goal i was aiming for initially but for me it was all about getting physically stronger so then I could keep up with the demands of caring for my mum & family. Since this time I have gained muscle mass, lost body fat & gained a new confidence I never had, thanks to my trainer & yoga teacher Kirsty Welsh from karmonyfitness on Magill Rd who always inspires me. Always encouraging & believing in me to keep going when I thought I couldn’t. I have noticed a shift in my levels of stress & anxiety too, I’d been running on adrenaline from the get go, the moment I took on the carer’s role but now I’m feeling so much more calmer, less tired with more energy & more in alignment with my mind & body & that has to be a good thing hey! If you’re suffering with the demands of life I truly recommend doing some form of exercise that will truly restore your body back into natural state of happiness, & creating a sense of calm. Don’t wait for a crisis to happen folks before you decide to do anything, take the plunge now & do it for yourself, you will feel amazing See more

13.01.2022 When Ayurveda entered my life in 2004 I realised I had found the missing link to all my underlying health issues over the years. I had found the answers, the root cause to all of my questions as to why I was feeling the way I was, on an emotional, and physical level. Knowing I didn’t feel right for many years, I searched from one doctor to another without any real answers but now for me it finally was all coming together, a real light bulb moment as Oprah would say! ~ Everyth...ing was making sense in my first year of study, I was very emotional to say the least but happy at the same time to hear my teachers explain what I’d been experiencing in my life. What became clear to me was the answers were right in front of me, myself! ~ Why Ayurveda? I found it different to anything I had ever experienced. It was an overall holistic, natural and spiritual living approach to my health and well-being and no other health modality could ever come close to it. Finding I was able to heal myself through my own natural body’s ability, my symptoms started to subside and I was feeling so much better. ~ Becoming familiar who I was in my unique self, that is my birth traits & personality, Ayurveda had allowed me to understand how my own mind and body worked & what it needed to function on a daily basis. That has truly been the key to my health and wellbeing in life, but of course it’s always a working progress. To understand this was so crucial in becoming aware of who I was and am as an individual and what I needed in terms of food choices, nutrition & lifestyle routines to bring harmony & balance to my whole being. ~ My life has never been the same since, not only has Ayurveda enriched me so deeply & profoundly it has lead me where I need to be, right here on this spiritual journey of reawakening, & self realisation. ~ Are you fed up of feeling run down, lacking energy and disconnected to your mind and body? Love to help you. To book in for your initial health consultation please call me Anna on 0415279020 or email [email protected] Discover how simple understanding your personal unique constitution can restore balance, create vitality and an abundance of energy making a difference to your overall health and wellbeing. ~ Ayurveda for me is not just a healing system, it’s a way of life! Let me guide you on the right path to wellness See more

13.01.2022 Fresh out of the oven folks, my Spiced turkey mince sausage rolls. My goodness the smell wafting from my kitchen is somewhat a little different to a traditional sausage roll, it’s like an Indian curry! Lol Well, that’s because I’ve added spices like curry powder, fennel seeds, & toasted cumin to the mix with grated veggies like pumpkin , sweet potato & zucchini , egg, parsley, sea salt & surrounded with Fillo pastry & brushed with olive oil. There you have it a quick & ...easy recipe for the whole family. ~ Recipes don’t need to be complicated just adding a spice here & there will always be of great benefit to your digestive health & as long it’s delicious, healthy, well healthier lol & flavoursome they will certainly be coming back for more! I have to tell you I honestly can’t remember when I made a sausage roll but this one is definitely a healthier version so I’m tucking in. See more

12.01.2022 Busy in my kitchen this morning making my delicious ghee. ~ Looking for a cooking oil that’s healthy, has a rich buttery taste, nutty flavour & aroma as well as a host of medicinal benefits? What is ghee? Ghee is clarified butter, without the lactose, casein(dairy protein) & milk solids, so making it ideal if you have allergies to any dairy intolerances.... Traditionally the butter is prepared by gently heating it in a pot, the lactose & the milk solids coagulate & are carefully removed leaving you with this pure golden oil. This process also evaporates most of its natural water content, making ghee light, easy to use & resistant to spoilage requiring no refrigeration. ~ What are the benefits of Ghee? Ayurveda considers Ghee to be the best & ideal cooking oil to use with numerous mind & body benefits. Ghee is high in beneficial compounds such as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and a fatty acid known as butyrate acid. Butyrate is a short-chain essential fatty acid which is only found in butter & ghee. It is known to protect against cancer & has a positive effect on type 2 diabetes, cholesterol & obesity. ~ Ghee imparts the benefits of these essential fatty acids without the problems of oxidised cholesterol, trans fatty acids or hydrogenated fats like other nasty oils on the market like canola, corn, peanut & soybean oil. Ghee also contains several fat-soluble vitamins including vitamin A, E, & K. Because of its high smoking point, Ghee can be used for baking, sauteing & even roasting. ~ Ghee benefits also range from improving digestion, helps to increase & balance your digestive fire (Agni) by releasing gastric acid, & also helps to maintain & repair the mucous lining of the stomach so therefore leading to better absorption. Taken with herbs it transports their nutrients & energies to all seven tissue layers ie Plasma, Blood, Muscle, Fat, Bone, Marrow, & Reproductive tissues. Ghee is also beneficial for the mind promoting mental functioning, improving intelligence, learning & memory, plus many more actions on the body making it the ultimate cooking oil for promoting overall health, longevity & wellbeing. Orders can now be placed through Anna on 0415279020. Will check in soon with the final result folks! See more

11.01.2022 Well it’s definitely been a while, I wanted to pop in & say hi after a few months of hibernation from the spotlight! I’m absolutely loving watching everyone cooking of late getting back in their kitchen connecting with their loved ones especially while we have more time on our hands these days. I’m never far from my own kitchen too brewing up something special especially now with my boy home not playing footy at the moment. He certainly has been keeping me on my toes lately ...but I’m absolutely loving him here for as long as he can be! ~ I have been away from the working in my business as you may know due to my mother having taken ill last November but with great news last week she is now recovering very well & taking one day at a time to get back to full strength. As for me I’m really appreciating some time now at home after months of instability, uncertainty & no routine, & have even had a chance to make my delicious organic ghee recently for my customers lovingly made with unsalted butter from @pariscreekfarms ~ So I do have a few spare jars folks available for purchase right now but orders of my ghee can be placed by contacting me Anna on 0415279020 or simply emailing me [email protected] Cost of ghee is $28.00 for a 750ml jar Pick up is available but I can also deliver straight to your front door within a few kilometres too if you wish but if you don’t mind bank transfer would be appreciated before I do drop off, cash is fine too if that doesn’t suit, thank you! ~ Look out for my next post folks too for the benefits of ghee See more

10.01.2022 Such a nice feeling to be consulting again, back to work in my office with that one on one connection which I’ve truly missed. Yesterday was my official day back to work & I felt a sense of self worth & confidence that honestly I had lacked in recent months. After sometime away I was having doubts as to whether I should continue my biz & yesterday it all brought it home deep in my heart that I couldn’t do anything else in my life. Bringing my knowledge & experience in helpin...g others to gain their health & life back after many years of struggle brings me so much happiness & fulfilment, it’s my dharma, my life’s purpose as you would say! ~ Yesterday I had a moment to reflect, which brought tears to my eyes, nothing new there folks. I’m a very emotional person, where my heart on my sleeve & it was quite special indeed. You see I hadn’t seen this client since 2008, (yes you read that right folks) & during her consultation she pointed out that she never felt better after her first visit, but having kids in between meant, well you know you lose yourself raising children & you come last in the equation so she hadn’t had the time to return until now! It was wonderful being able to give her guidance again to regain her confidence to start another chapter in her story, because this is what it is. Her story, no one else’s & it belongs to her! I’d love to hear your story too, & if I’m able to help you in some small way I’ve done my work! ~ By the way you can check out my story too & my health struggles during my lifetime on my website www.vibrantandhealthyliving.com Helping others in their quest to find a healthy version of themselves is exactly what I was looking for before Ayurveda entered my life, & since then I’ve never looked back. If you’re feeling somewhat lost & disillusioned why you’re not feeling your best right now, why not try something different. A new perspective & natural approach to healing through the eyes of Ayurveda & on how to gain a vibrant healthier life. ~ To make an appointment with me Anna simply call me on 0415279020 or email [email protected] I would love to help you You have nothing to lose but everything to gain See more

09.01.2022 A very happy Sunday to you folks, how are you doing? A quick omelette this morning to start my day, what’s in it you ask? ~ Well it’s very simple & a quick recipe, based on the ingredients you can serve 1 to 2 people with this one folks. I ate the whole thing, was very hungry lol So here it is, ... 3 eggs A little milk, I used full fat milk which my body needs so you can add whatever you like A few basil leaves Chopped coriander Small amount of mild curry powder Toasted cumin powder grated zucchini Sea salt Black pepper small amount of asafoetida(optional) Goats cheese Hemp seeds Olive oil or ghee 1/2 sprig of curry leaves ~ Method: Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl, then right at the end add the soft goats cheese. Heat your pan over a low heat add the ghee or oil, then pop in some curry leaves to flavour the oil, careful not to burn them or yourself then remove the leaves. Add the egg mixture & cook omelette till set, I did add a bit more of the goats cheese while it was cooking then topped off with hemp seeds. Simply delicious & served it with sourdough bread from @abbotsandkinney Thanks Jonny for all your goodies yesterday including the bread, and yes I did try your beautiful crumpets, & vegan donut couldn’t resist A lovely treat indeed once & a while doesn’t hurt anyone hey! Enjoy everyone & let me know how you go too. Sorry photo not great folks, doesn’t do it justice but trust me it was delicious Have a wonderful Sunday everyone

08.01.2022 While I’m just taking some time out for me on this sunny Brisbane day I thought I pop in and say hi. How are you all doing? It’s been so wonderful spending time with my family here in Queensland this past week, I’d been missing my kids so much recently these past few months and with the daily grind back at home in Adelaide this trip has been just what I needed. ~... Just seeing them together and surprising my son for his 25th birthday on Monday has brought me so much joy and ease because honestly I felt my heart literally ache with pain not being able to see them. ~ Practicing my yoga poses, meditating to healing music and sleeping to Tibetan singing bowl music has definitely helped ease my way through these feelings of grief, anxiety and loss, because that is exactly what I truly was experiencing. I felt my self at times experiencing symptoms of sadness, feeling a sense of loneliness, and with the added pressures I feel sometimes at home always giving myself to others, my mind and body weren’t always in a good place. Enjoying some time out on this holiday, sightseeing and seeing both of my kids has certainly made a difference to the way I feel. ~ Feeling so much more happier within myself, calmer, less anxious more grounded and sleeping better, this trip came at the right time for me, definitely needed it and in a few days I will look forward to returning to my husband with a spring in my step. And you know who is also on his way home too soon, my boy who has just finished with the AFL footy season who I’m sure will keep me on my toes busier than ever cooking and more washing, can’t wait! Lol ~ Have a wonderful Sunday night folks check in with you soon Would you like to know what I listen and meditate too? Just message me. Love to share See more
