24.01.2022 VCTA and NCS are pleased to advise that they have been contracted to manage the Victorian Students Parliamentary Program (VSPP) for 2020 and 2021. These have been revised to take in the implications of COVID-19 and social distancing. We are providing all Secondary Schools that are participating in the in-school Convention with links to resources and teaching points. These links will be available from 25 May to 7 August 2020. This will also include an online voting component ...on the topic which will take place in mid-July. The topic for the Convention will be Should the voting age be lowered to 16? Consolidating learning in Unit 3 (June - attend in person on Sunday 16 June, or watch later online) Ensure your students have a sound grasp of Unit 3 knowledge and skills before moving on to Unit 4. VCTA is continually monitoring the situation to see how we can best support members as this unprecedented event continues. We have postponed all face-to-face professional learning for term two but will continue to monitor the situation.... Our Reviewing student performance in the VCE 2019 exam is being recorded this week and we will advise you of its availability in the coming weeks. Sasha was awarded one of twelve national fellowships for her program to identify and extend gifted students in raising results across the board at Taylors Lakes Secondary College in Melbourne's western suburbs.
