25.01.2022 A very colourful lineup! What a great concept 13 Fishing Australia... #spooled #readytogo #fishing #baitcaster #13fishingaustralia #colours #concept #inception Millerods

23.01.2022 Charmaine Cook and myself spent a few hours at Blue Rock Dam this afternoon on our kayak’s. I managed to land 3 small Redfin on soft plastics and close too 20 m...ini Bass off the surface in the shallow’s. Even at this size they’re great fun, I also dropped a few better fish towards the end. The wind and rain didn’t help but it gave me a chance to explore a few cove’s, out of the wind! Not posting 20 photo’s of little bass this time, just posting a few!

16.01.2022 Low Baro equals low interest today. Pretty much used all techniques, heaps of little ones and only a few worth taking pics of. Best went 33cm on a cicada at last light....the topwater frenzy lasted all of 15 minutes, I reckon! Good day to be fishing though.

15.01.2022 Finally got a few hours on the Rock to test a new rod build, great to be out and lots of fish around

15.01.2022 Blue Rock dazzles!

15.01.2022 Fished Blue Rock yesterday didn't get here till 7pm because Kelvan Trimble had some work to do. We ended up with about 10 fish each. Not a bad night but the su...rface bite was not that great. Got some fish on some of the lure's I have made so that was cool. The biggest for the night was 34cm to fork with a lot of small stuff in the mix. See more

08.01.2022 Kayak surface session last night at Blue Rock Dam. As usual from 6pm until dark I was plagued by tiny Bass. I even caught a Bass that had no fin on its back at ...all, It hit my surface cicada and played dead. After dark I only hooked onto one fish, a Bass that would have easily been 50cm! After running me straight into the snags, I managed to get the big old girl back out and she was at the side of my yak, I switched my head torch on turned to my left to grab my landing net. As I put the light on the fish which it did not like, then with one kick of its tail and before I could net it, it was gone! To say I’m shattered is an understatement, but I’ll be back to try again soon, can’t wait to beat my pb of 45cm.

08.01.2022 Damien John Bonnici got his PB Bass at Blue Rock Dam last night! 40cm to the tip of the tail and caught on a surface lure after dark! Congrats mate, your hard efforts are paying off.

08.01.2022 Brogo Day 4 ..... the wash-up (washout???) Targeted Bega River in the AM, but started a bit late after an ill-timed sleep in and launched from Mogareeka Boat R...amp, which is an awesome facility. Had a few touches in some snags but no hook ups, then followed by three hours of SFA - with a few chopper Tailor being my only attractions - one of which ate a hole in my line and dispensed with a soft plastic. I hit Brogo for the arvo bite and picked up around a dozen small fellas, lost a good one to a bricking in a snag pile and only managed to land one at 31cm. Overall, Brogo is a great, beautifully scenic lake, but has very limited timber structure, which was a bit of a shock. There is a heap of weeds around the edges, which provide good cover, but were difficult to fish and certainly did not hold a lot of interested fish (skirted jigs, soft plastics, hardbodies, spinnerbaits, all were tried). Is Brogo worth the drive, when you could go up the middle and onto some very good northern NSW and southern QLD impoundments - it probably isn't. I spoke with a couple of fishos who had been there a lot and they told me it had been in drought - low levels, ie 15-20% for a couple of seasons and large Bass were present, in big numbers. Unfortunately, after last season's fires, a rain event filled the dam to over 100% in two days and they suspect that many fish went over the spillway and into the river, never to be seen again. It is sad, because it's such a great place, but until they can organise some type of barrier/s to prevent the bigger fish escaping, the quality won't be there. Tight lines! See more

07.01.2022 On my way up to east Gippsland for the weekend. Quick stop on the way up at the Avon river, 3 casts later off a 5 meter drop down to the water and bang! This ve...ry nice Bass swallowed my Low Tide Lures 3 paddle tail, slim min coated in my favourite scent Garli Gravy by Strikerz Lure Scents Trust me landing it was scary as hell, dead lifted it up a 5 meter drop!

07.01.2022 Caught a few small ones, biggest going 35cm, caught by my mate. Bite was good early, not much with a high sun.

07.01.2022 Thank you Nikki
