25.01.2022 Hey Ladies and Gents I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I thought I would just give a quick update regarding our upcoming Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic at Marlo on the 29th and 30th of August. Even though the Covid cases in Vic are on the rise I want to assure you all that providing people can still fish in Victoria and pubs are still able to host a number of people the tournament will be going ahead. The Marlo hotel is in a great spot to enable us to host peo...ple inside, outside and even on the grassed areas. Obviously I will be adhering to social distancing measures as we did at Metung, but that aside Russell from the pub and myself are confident we can still have a great tournament. So if you are thinking of entering please get those entries in to help support Marlo and the series. I'm looking forward to seeing you all there.
25.01.2022 Hey Guys Just an update on the Vic Bream Classic at Nelson on the 14th and 15th of November. Not looking good at this stage guys as we only have 10 teams actually confirmed that they are fishing. I will be making a call 5pm this Friday and if we don't get at least 25 teams it won't be going ahead.... If you are interested to fish then you need to let me know asap. You can download an entry form here. https://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_4_glenelg.html
25.01.2022 November 7th is the day that the shackles get taken off Melbourne. With that news and baring some unforeseen spike in numbers our Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic at Marlo will be able to go ahead. Now its up to you guys to get behind the event and make it big. We currently have 33 teams booked for the event which is great, but can we rally together and get over 50 entered to the event to end this crazy 2020 year on a highly positive note and run into the 2021 season with some momentum? To see where you team is entered and to download entry forms please visit https://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_1_Marlo.html
24.01.2022 Hi Guys With Melbourne restrictions opening on the 7th of Nov and our Nelson Vic Bream Classics scheduled for the 14th and 15th of November I need to get a show of numbers of who would be interested to enter and fish this event as at present we only have 12 teams entered and not sure if those 12 are available either. I would need at least 25 to 30 teams to run the event and would need to probably make a call on this Friday the 30th of October if it was going to happen. Pleas...e let me know if you are going to enter or if you like send in an entry form and pay after Friday if it goes ahead. Entries can be downloaded at https://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_4_glenelg.html Hopefully things are starting to get back to normal.
22.01.2022 Hi Ladies and Gents A little update for you all. I have updated all the entries for the Nelson tournament which we needed to cancel. The next Nelson Rnd will be Rnd 2 of the 2021 Vic Bream Classic Series and will take place towards the end of March (Date TBA). So if you paid and sent in an entry for the postponed Nelson Rnd you entry will be already on the list for the 2021 March event. You can see the list at https://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_4_glenelg.html
22.01.2022 Great to be back at Marlo for the 2020 Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic. Tune in at 1.30pm for the Day 2 live weigh in.
22.01.2022 It is yet another sad day for the Vic Bream Classic family as the well loved Vic Bream Classic angler Allan Sandy has lost his battle with cancer. We all send our sincere condolences to Rhett and his family at this sad time. Allan and Rhett were at every event without fail for many years and a truly kind, friendly team liked by all. Allan will be extremely missed. I'm sure Allan will be catching up with Craig upstairs for a beer.
20.01.2022 Let’s all cross our fingers that the changes announced on the 19th of October mean our last 2 comps can go ahead. Fingers crossed. I’ll make an announcement about what we going to do for the remainder of the year after the 19th of October
20.01.2022 Its a very sad day today for the Vic Bream family as our good mate and one of the nicest guys to ever fish the series Craig Seignior lost his battle with cancer. A good friend to so many and always prepared to help anyone he came across. He will be so missed, but always remembered for the amazing friendly person and awesome fisherman that he was. Our thoughts and all our love go out to Jeanette, Axel and family. You can rest in peace now mate and finally show the big fella upstairs how to flick a lure properly

17.01.2022 Hi Ladies and Gents Well hasn't it been a crazy few months. I hope you and your families are all well and healthy. Many have asked me whats happening with the upcoming Vic Bream Classic comps and unfortunately I have no answers other than as soon as we are legally able to run tournaments again we will be back into it. The next event on the calendar was the Glenelg Hopkins CMA Glenelg Shire Bream Classic at Nelson in June. There is a very high chance this event will be postpon...ed until November this year but I'm just waiting to see what the Vic Gov decides to do on current restrictions. If it is post poned I will also move the Grand Final to mid December this year. This will mean the series this year would have an event in Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov and Dec. That being said I can only speculate on what I want to do at this stage as we just don't know what the future holds. The guarantee I can give you is that as soon as I'm legally able to fire the Vic Bream Classic series back up I will be all over it. In the meantime guys if you are in a financial position to as I know many aren't, but if you are please support the many sponsors below that support you by giving you tournaments to fish and ensure they are all still around at the other end of this terrible time. So fill those tackles boxes with new lures, plastics, jigheads, re-spool those reels and maybe treat yourself to a new $750 Covid19 Combo thanks to Scomo I look forward to seeing you all soon and can't wait to get the show on the road again. I'm getting weigh in withdrawal Ej Todd, Club Marine, Glenelg Hopkins CMA, Daiwa Australia, Atomic, JML Anglers Alliance, BCF - Boating, Camping, Fishing, Humminbird Australia & New Zealand, Minn Kota Australia & New Zealand, Hurricane Lures Australia, East Gippsland Shire Council, Glenelg Shire Council, Juro OzPro Tackle, Spotters Sunglasses, Victorian Fisheries Authority, Angling Adventures, SHIMANO Australia Fishing, Bayford Volkswagen, Samurai Rods, AAAA Signs, Fishing Monthly Magazines, Australian Bass Tournaments, Frogleys Offshore, Sungold Milk,
16.01.2022 Day 2 live weigh in from Marlo for the 2020 Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic
14.01.2022 Hi Ladies and Gents We currently have 47 teams registered for the Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic at Marlo on the 12th and 13th of Dec. As we are still in a COVID environment the briefing for the event will still be pre recorded and will go live on Facebook at 5pm on Friday the 11th of November. We will also be using social distance measures for the weigh in to ensure everyone is safe. I saying that the Marlo Hotel who has been amazing to us will definitely be the social ...hub of the event as they are allowed to have a number of patrons in the venue and outside along with sit down meals so please ensure you support the pub where you can over the tournament weekend. If you would like to enter the event and download an entry form or to see where your team is sitting please visit https://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_1_Marlo.html

09.01.2022 Hi Guys and Girls After much thought and discussion about the current climate with Mallacoota and our sponsors we have decided to postpone the 2020 Daiwa Australia East Gippsland Bream Classic at Mallacoota from April 25th & 26th to the new dates of September 19th & 20th 2020. After everything Mallacoota has been through the town deserves us to all be able to attend in big numbers and utilize the towns services to the fullest. With spring in the air in September and hopefull...y all this behind us the aim is for us all to hopefully be celebrating the return to fishing at Mallacoota in a huge way and so I urge you all the save the new date and get yourself to Mallacoota on the 19th and 20th of September this year. . All the current teams entered for the Mallacoota Rnd will just move accross to the new dates. Details have been updated online http://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_3_mallacoota.html See more
08.01.2022 Hey guys Thanks to everyone that wanted to fish Nelson. Unfortunately we only got to 16 entries which isn’t worth running for that many teams. I will hold the Nelson Rnd as Rnd 2 in 2021 so end of March and roll all entries over to then which will include the teams that had entered but couldn’t fish in November. 2021 is looking like this... Rnd 1 Mallacoota Rnd 2 Nelson Rnd 3 Marlo Rnd 4 Metung Rnd 5 Hopkins Grand Final Marlo

05.01.2022 Hey guys A few boys interested in finding a partner for the Daiwa East Gippsland Bream Classic at Mallacoota. If ya interested contact them directly
05.01.2022 Hi Ladies and Gents Well again so close but no cigar. With the latest lockdown in Victoria running well into September we can’t run the Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic at Marlo at the end of August however after chatting with all involved this is the plan moving forward. In 2020 there will be no Vic Bream Classic Grand Final on the 12th and 13th of December instead we will move the Marlo Rnd we need to cancel this month to that weekend. This will mean that anyone can ente...r the Marlo Rnd in December and hopefully all going well we can get a big field to Marlo for a great event and hopefully we are in a great position with Covid 19 and can celebrate together with a huge Vic Bream Classics Xmas party as well. I will move all current entries for the Marlo event accross to the new date in December As for the Mallacoota Rnd on the 19th of September I will hold tight and see if we get positive results from this lockdown before making a call on Mallacoota in early September. Thanks again for all your support and patience and rest assured my team will do everything we can to deliver you all as many Vic Bream Classic events as we can
03.01.2022 Hi Ladies and Gents I hope you and you families are all healthy. Just an update on the series. After watching the slow relax of restrictions and wanting to ensure that we give the Nelson Rnd and its sponsors and all involved the best chance to be an awesome event with a good turn out and good access to really support the pub etc we have decided to move the 2020 Glenelg Hopkins CMA Glenelg Shire Bream Classic to the 14th and 15th of November. This will also mean that the 2020 ...Grand Final held at Marlo will be moved to the 12th and 13th of December. All current entries will just be moved over to this date and I hope you all can support the event and get down there to support Neil at the Nelson Hotel as he needs all our support after only just taking the pub back last year then this year from hell hits. I will do an updated overview poster for the series with all the updated dates soon. Thanks again and can't wait for comps to begin again
03.01.2022 Hey Guys and Girls Its good that things are on the improve around the State with Covid 19 numbers on the decrease and restrictions starting to ease. However after chatting with the major sponsors of the Warrnambool Rnd coming up in a few weeks, and as we have only 12 teams entered and finally since the Premier announced that he is strongly encouraging all people from Metro Melbourne to not travel to regional Victoria the decision has been made to cancel the Warrnambool Rnd at the Hopkins River and move it to next year. All entries will be carried over. Thanks again for your understanding guys and I truly can't wait to be able to get the band back together and run events for you again. Hopefully Nelson will be a goer.
03.01.2022 Hi ladies and gents With Mr Andrews announcing that restrictions will remain in place and a slower than expected removal of restrictions will take place over the next month we have no choice but to cancel the Daiwa East Gippsland Bream Classic at Mallacoota scheduled for September 19 & 20. I will move the event to the first Rnd of 2021 in late January. Let’s hope we get to head to Warrnambool in October. Fingers crossed
02.01.2022 Hi Ladies and Gents I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy in this challenging time. I just thought I would give a little update on plans moving forward for the Vic Bream comps for the remainder of the year. As you know I had to cancel the Marlo Rnd and I have moved that to the 12th and 13th of December so hopefully we can have a nice ending to the year with a Xmas breakup comp. The Daiwa East Gippsland Bream Classic at Mallacoota scheduled for the 19th and 20th of Septe...mber still hasn't been cancelled as yet, but with there being a fair chance we will all be on stage 3 restrictions will mean we can't stay anywhere and so it will have to be cancelled if that occurs. If it is cancelled I will roll that comp over to Rnd 1 of the 2021 Series and all current entries will roll across. The other 2 tournaments in October and November in the Glenelg Hopkins CMA BCF Bream Classic at Warrnambool and the Glenelg Hopkins CMA Bream Classic at Nelson should hopefully go ahead but we can only wait and see. In the mean time I hope you all stay well and safe and I will update you in the coming week with relation to the status of the Mallacoota Tournament. Entries and details for the Marlo Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic in December have been updated and you can feel free to get your entry in at . https://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_1_Marlo.html
01.01.2022 The Good News It looks like we are on track to finish the year on a high note with our Xmas break up tournament at Marlo on the 12th and 13th of December. Currently we have 37 teams entered for the Atomic East Gippsland Bream Classic at Marlo and with still 5 weeks to enter hopefully we get a field of 50 the end the year. Don't forget guys that before Covid, Marlo and so many towns long the coast here were devastated by bush fire and they are far from recovered so here is you...r chance to support the amazing town of Marlo and give them a great Xmas present by turning up on great numbers. Its also the first chance you've had since March to fish a tournament and catch up with mates so lets make this a big one and have a total blast that weekend. To download an entry form or to check where you team is on the list visit. https://www.vicbreamclassics.com.au/round_1_Marlo.html
