09.01.2022 ANOTHER AMAZING REVIEW Hi Paul and Sandra, I would just like to express my gratitude in respect to the repair work you did on ...my FJ Holden last month. This car has been in the family since it was purchased it June 1954 so choosing a repair shop was not an easy task because most repair stations are in and out organisations where care is limited. The FJ is now back to absolute pristine condition due to your team and at a competitive price. As much as getting the job right, the relation ship you establish is important and you are both second to none, I’m sure if I was your neighbour we would be catching up for a beer on a regular basis, below I will explain the FJ Story. My Grandfather purchased the FJ new from Rhodes Holden in Elizabeth St Melbourne on the 14th June 1954 this car was his absolute pride and joy, he drove up it until 1979 where age caught up with him and he ceased driving at the age of 84 The FJ stayed in his garage until 1985 when he said I could have it on the promise it would be looked after, this car has never had a night out of a locked garage in its entire life and a genuine 69,000 miles. See attached photos from 1985 when I bought it home to restore it to its past glory, the body was gun barrel straight but faded, I basically went over the engine, and painted the car back to original specs and re did the brakes etc. It is now one of very few original FJ Holden’s around with full history and meticulously maintained. I re registered the car in 1987 and drove it on occasions up until 1990 where I placed it in a time warp, I inhibited the engine and raised it on blocks, i covered the car and it stayed like that until 2014 then I bought it out of hibernation changed the oil and it started straight up, and today on club Reg I use it approx. 35 times a year. Again thankyou both so much and the team at pjs panels.
