17.01.2022 It is with great sadness that the Victorian Jazz Club must inform members of the death of Ron Eastwood. Ron was a past committee member and served as treasurer of the VJC. He was a school principal over many years of his working life, commanding respect and appreciation from all who worked with him. He had a keen interest in and love of Traditional Jazz and was a familiar face at many Jazz venues. Ron was always keen to promote live Jazz and brought many of his Probus friends to Wednesday Night Jazz , where he often volunteered to be on the door. He was a lovely gentleman with a warm smile and a knack of making you feel important. His gentle demeanor and kindness will be missed by all his frieds around the Jazz Scene. Condolences to his son and daughter and his good friend Meg Knowles. RIP Ron
