06.01.2022 Why every Australian should visit Uluru Have you visited Uluru? If so, please share with me in the comments of this post your experience and/or photos? I was there in May 2019, 6 months pregnant with Zoey. When I took my staff on a educational trip away for doing so well the past 2 years. ... While you could still climb Ayers Rock then I had absolute no desire too. I did however do the base walk with a guide. On this walk I learnt how strong Aboriginal language, culture and traditions are here. I have never felt this as strong as any where in Australia expect for Uluru. Learning about the strong importance of Uluru to the Aboriginals made space in my heart for our fellow citizens, and made a deeper respecting for them. The red dessert was so much more incredibly remote than I had expected. It was like an entirely different planet. Surrounded by endless plains, rolling dunes, an air of tranquillity, nothing can prepare you for the awe-inspiring views and feelings you get when you see Uluru, the worlds largest monolith, for the first time. Many Aussies have Uluru on their 'bucket list', but sometimes these 'someday' adventures get delayed by the temptation to visit far-off destinations overseas. Even though its so remote its too easy to have the mindset that you'll experience 'someday' because its right here in Australia. But why wait?? And now is Absolutely the time to do Uluru with international boarders closed.
