21.01.2022 This from the person who has been the Minister for Mental Health for the past four years, who: - has consistently told me he can't recruit staff; - delayed the building of adolescent mental health beds (promised for 2019 still not a sod turned);... - took more than 18 months to fix the ligature points in the Adult Mental Health Unit; - took 18 months to set up the much vaunted Office of Mental Health with such a constrained remit that it does very little. It was set up to fail. Now, there is an election and he has to announce something. This is small change in the great scheme of things. Why is he just getting to it now? Because there is an election!
