24.01.2022 A little taste of Italy.. Sunday night pizza home made including the base.. did you know 2 slices of pizza with all the heavy dense fats take 6hours to burn off walking.... learning to enhance the taste is not as hard as it seems... delicious this was caramelising the onion, garlic, capsicum to enhance the flavour, vegies and basil and a good home made Italian sauce makes this meal a weekly staple... we can make everything taste delicious and low calorie at the same time... stay tuned for recipes....
23.01.2022 Drinking Matcha Tea Green Tea Matcha is what we want in our diet at the best & at the worst of Times! The 5 BENEFITS 1. Energy Boost... Matcha is roughly the same as a shot of espresso, but without the follow up jitters or energy crash. The L-theanine is behind this, as it offsets the negative effects of caffeine and is gentle energy. Some studies show that it may also help improve attention and memory (1).. 2. It's Tied to Lowering Anxiety Even though matcha contains caffeine, some studies have shown that consuming matcha powder or matcha extract can reduce anxiety, thanks to the presence of L-theanine and other phytochemicals. Matcha may also boast stress-reducing properties and the L-thanine may help produces a calming effect along with increased alertness and concentration. The talk is that tmatcha also activates the dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain two neurotransmitters that influence anxiety and mood. Something we all could do woth right now. 3. Glowing Skin People who suffer from acne or other skin problems may see an improvement in their complexion after drinking matcha regularly. Matcha contains chlorophyll, a phytochemical that has been shown to reduce facial wrinkles and skin elasticity in women over age 45 who take a supplement regularly THE KEY INGREDIENT HERE is an antioxidant called epigallocatechin gallate, better known as EGCG, which prevents collagen breakdown 4. May Aid Weight Loss Although we need more with this connection between green tea and weight loss, there is potentlal here, thanks to this EGCG.When EGCG and caffeine are combined (like in matcha tea), the mixture significantly helped people lose weight and manage their weight-loss success(2). We need to hear more abiut this though 5. Your Immune System EGCG doesn't just help you lose weight and clear your skin studies show that its antioxidants may help boost the immune system as well. EGCG may help destroy toxic free radicals in the blood that result in inflammation and cell damage. Although there is no evidence that matcha can cure or prevent diseases, such as Parkinsn and Alzeimer, green tea has some of the highest antioxidant amounts of any food. #healthyfood See more

17.01.2022 Not Losing Weight???? These are some reasons why... If you are frustrated with pushing yourself working out hard and eating well and you still struggling to see a result, this may shed a little light and help in the matter. 1. All or nothing Committing to eating well & exercising daily is key for reaching your weight-loss goals. However, when the standard is too high or at 100% it can be really tough to stick to. 2. Blame it on your Genes?... We all have a different metabolic rate, genetics & also different personalities which all make a difference to our weight control and weight loss days 3. Too consistent & same routine Not always a good thing! having the same thing and doing the same exact workout and eating the same exact foods day in and day out may be the problem. 4. Hitting the pavement too much Exercising regularly is definitely a plus but working out for hours may actually work against you. The bulk of your weight-loss progress comes from eating less. You cannot chase your calories with exercise. 5. Not Eating Enough food Your metabolism will slow down if you cut calories too drastically.Eating too little calories can affect your metabolism & get in the way of your results. Need to know more? 13.01.2022 Zucchini and choc slice. It may seem strange but it worked a treat where family where asking for more. Not only a fabulous way to get the kiddies familiar with a vegetable but also introducing a cocoa, I use calebeaut cocoa my favourite cocoa, not bitter at all. This cake has been modified to suit those who are after health and taste, IBS, allergies and inflammation and trust me, I’m looking after our waistline here. This 2nd baking wave will be made to work for us. Soooo fluffy so delicious.
12.01.2022 Sometimes a simple salad can make a perfect meal. This 5 min meal for those people pushing time meets taste, health and results. A colourful salad with blanched broccoli, peas and beetroot. Sautéed prawns and dumpling for some lean protein and Wakami seaweed for super salad...
12.01.2022 ISO#2 & Weight Loss 1. Volume Eating-Make your meals and snacks produce based. What does this mean? It means make more soups, veggie meals. They are creative ways of making produce foods a feature snack or meal in your day. 2.Be consistent- By keeping to your structure and habit you can then work on how to improve them. As big way and very successful way is tracking your food and exercise habits. This way you can work on what makes you feel your best and continue to do it. K...eeping to a set time and structure with your personal habits 3. Drink Drink Drink-Visualise this scene, which I bet is quite familiar. You are working from home and you get up and move to the pantry and open it and ponder on what you would like to snack on, you then close the pantry again to then reopen it and succumb to opening the bag of chips, to then realise after you have finished 'the whole bag’ that you were only thirsty. So try to create a water behaviour by setting an alarm on your phone to remind you to drink and definitely having a water bottle close by in hands reach. Try and remind yourself to drink first before you open that bag of chips.. Aim to flavour your water with orange slices, lime, berries and even kiwi fruit and this makes your eater super yummy. 4. Keep moving Moving more is super essential, not for burning calories as you can’t chase calories with exercise but to keep the neurotransmitters up as this will help apply your good eating. 5. Give yourself a Break It is super normal to feel a little out of control at the minute and frustrated when your trying to keep it together and healthy. So being 70 to 80% good is more than enough. #healthyliving #healthyeating #healthylifestyle
