20.01.2022 Don't you love it when the first day of Spring really feels like Spring? The sun's out shinning on all the blooms, and while I was taking the kids for a walk this morning we saw a bird making its nest!! Now that's so spring! I've taken a few weeks off from my socials to recalibrate, without the noise. I've discovered a much kinder internal dialogue, even when it's been tough with home schooling, I've bloody well done my best in trying to be the best teacher... I can. Giving myself permission to ease off the pressure by not showing up here has felt good. Real good. I get caught up at times with all the things I SHOULD be doing. Pausing has been a SHOULD I couldn't ignore. While I haven't been able to photograph clients, I've been keeping myself in the creative space, by smooshing colours onto canvas and honing my motor skills on weaving. So damn therapeutic amongst the chaos. I'm also feeling a renewed energy to work on my biz again. Now that I've filled my cup, I'm sailing the ups and downs (and believe me there have been some epic downs), with compassion and acceptance. Spring always brings with it a lightness. Hope. Motivation to get shit done. As I lean in to the soft newness I'm feeling positive. 01.01.2022 Photos like this are looking to be more of a reality soon-ish! Yes that’s right, regional Victorian families are now allowed to have their professional photographs taken MASK FREE!! This is a HUGE step in the right direction for us metro photographers. So that when we are able to begin work again (fingers corssed it will be soon) the mask restriction will not hinder us and you can flash your gorgeous smiles outdoors! I was getting quite comfy being a trackie pants couch ninja..., but I’m also ready to head outdoors and start shooting again, as I have the feeling it’s going to be a hectic pre Chrissy period.
