25.01.2022 Our crowdfunder is now at $1735 for our conversational English language classes! We're over halfway there! The sessions are designed to bring a unique experience of Victoria Park and create a sense of connection and belonging. With your support, they will be free for participants, running for 15 weeks from February 2021. Thank you to Zoe O'Neill, Dave Lindner, Sarah Malacari, M Connolly for being Vic Park Legends this Christmas and showing that Vic Park cares!... Give a little this holiday season!



25.01.2022 In Berlin there is a shopping mall entirely dedicated to used items, and the continued use of items is the priority in the city's 10 year plan towards zero waste. If you want to give your items a second life, or find awesome new-to-you things, come to our Centre this Sunday. The plan is to meet at The Arrow sculpture, on the corner of Archer and Planet St, walk around the neighbourhood, visit some sites worth celebrating, observe the opportunities to make Carlisle a more wholesome and unique place, and finish off with the Thursday night cookout / produce market on Archer St. Come along and be a part of your neighbourhood! 15.01.2022 We are a small centre with a big heart. Our aim is to promote, support and enhance the quality of life and positive development of our community. This year we have been involved with some great programs. We are looking for some awesome, generous, community minded individuals who are passionate about local community to give us a hand on our board of management. Skills particularly desirable are Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing Communications, Social Media and IT. In orde...r to have diversity in our board we would be particularly interested in having expressions of interest from the age groups 19-25 & 41-65 . 12.01.2022 Repair lab #7 takes place at the Victoria Park Community Centre this Sunday at 10am. Repair Lab is a collaborative and learning experience to encourage Perth folks to come up with new and creative ways to salvage perfectly usable things. This is the last Repair Lab in Vic Park this year, bring that item that has been gathering dust on the shelf, work on it with some skilled volunteers, enjoy the Farmers Market next door, and a Really Really Free Market!

07.01.2022 This Thursday and Friday, Birrdiya presents an interactive workshop: Aboriginal Mental Health First Aid Training at Wirra Hub, Western Australia Indigenous Business Hub at 53 Burswood Road. This two-day, 14-hour course provides attendees with the knowledge and skills associated with understanding the landscape of mental health within the Indigenous Australian community. Participants will learn practical strategies on how to assist Aboriginal adults who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis so that you can provide the best support possible.
