Tanisha is a project facilitator for the Kookas a...fter-school club, which focuses on teaching Indigenous kids about Aboriginal culture. She is part of Celebrating Sistas, an Indigenous womens group that offers a safe space, and the Art Program and After School Art program. Tanisha helped organise an exhibition during the 2019 NAIDOC week. She has finished her traineeship in Goolum and is currently in charge of delivering the Nyupun program. #flashbackfriday

Bendigo Foodshare partners with businesses, services, volunteers and community groups to reduce food poverty. Bendigo Foodshare rescues 46,000 kgs per month of food from supermarkets and shares them in Central Victoria. Find Your Voice Choir comprises 230 individuals and encompasses all abilities, ages, genders, ethnicities, sexual preferences and backgro...unds. The choir performed at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, and at the Lighthouse Theatre. A Better Life For Foster Kids works to improve physical, educational and psycho-social outcomes for children in foster care and kinship care. ABLFFK provides Crisis Cases for children in Victoria containing clothing, essential items and handmade blankets and toys. Norlane Healing Hands offers high-quality, low-cost healthcare to socially and financially disadvantaged people. Health services are provided by volunteer professionals. Prestige Inhome Care Geelong assists 641 members of the Greater Geelong community, serves 1,700 clients each month, and employ 130 carers and nurses. Prestige provides comprehensive staff training and development opportunities and a comprehensive induction program. Princes Court Homes Inc serves residents at the aged care facility an...d in their lifestyle retirement village independent living units. Their 130 staff get access to training opportunities and professional development. St Catherine's Hostel is a 69-bed residential care facility. Staff work their preferred shifts and are encouraged to take leave when needed. There is a private lounge for staff who bring their children to work. Strzelecki House a Japara Home is 60-bed aging in place facility that believes Our Staff are Gold. They offer very flexible working hours and a childcare centre within walking distance. Golden Square Pool is a group of 55 locals who transformed a once dilapidated, under-used facility, to an inclusive, vibrant and empowering hub for Golden Square and Bendigo, Victoria residents. They launched a campaign in 2012 to... save the pool from closure by extending its lease. Since then, it has provided accessible health and fitness opportunities to 90,000 patrons. Volunteers introduce innovative programs like live events and wellbeing programs. One initiative is the SwimSafe Bendigo program where free swimming lessons are given, especially for local refugees, migrants and multicultural adults. #FlashbackFriday

Here are four that keep it especially vibrant and strong: Jules Haddock is a Principle Master Mental Health Instructor who established The Anxious Bird, after supporting her son with Autism through his school years. She provides specific education to teachers and parents in supporting children. Keeley Johnson created Keeley’s Cause after her own personal difficulties the current learning curriculum model. Keeley’s Cause... provides iPads to children of low-income families, those with Autism or intellectual disabilities to assist in learning. John Anderson is a Rotary Club member and the President of the Shepparton Chamber of Commerce and Industry. John worked on the parking reference sub-committee to bring $8.5m funding to the Shepparton Central Business District. Kelly Vandenberg founded Gippsland Horse and Stock Safe Bushfire Assistance. During recent bushfires they raised $70,000 in cash donations; $45,000 of horse, calf, alpaca, sheep and dog food; $8,000 of animal health supplies.
