24.01.2022 INCIDENT - M80 Ring Road truck rollover The exit from the M80 Ring Road to the Western Freeway is closed, following a truck rollover. Instead, take the exit to Fitzgerald Road, continue south to Boundary Road, turn left and get onto the Ring Road Greensborough-bound. That'll get you on your way to the Western Freeway.... This closure's under the control of Victoria Police and it'll be re-opened when investgiations are complete and when it's safe to do so. 24.01.2022 The intersection of Palmers Road and Sayers Road, Williams Landing closes this weekend as part of the Western Roads Upgrade. Closures will be in place from 8pm Friday 20 November until 5am Monday 23 November with Sayers Road westbound remaining closed until 5am Thursday 26 November. Additionally, from Monday 23 November until Thursday 26 November, the Sayers and Palmers roads intersection will close nightly from 8pm to 5am.... 24.01.2022 INCIDENT - Princes Freeway re-opened UPDATE 2.45pm All lanes have been re-opened on the Princes Freeway outbound through Point Cook, following a rollover near Palmers Road.... Heavy delays remain on the freeway outbound starting at the West Gate Freeway, and it may take a while for congestion to ease. Other roads experiencing delays due to detouring traffic include Old Geelong Road, Central Avenue, Kororoit Creek Road, Leakes Road and Point Cook Road. Thanks for your patience as crews worked to clear the incident. #victraffic ------------------- UPDATE 1.28pm Two lanes have been re-opened on the Princes Freeway outbound through Point Cook, following a rollover. 23.01.2022 Bridge Road, Richmond closes in both directions from 11pm Sunday 3 January, as Yarra Trams conducts major renewal works along the busy shopping strip. The full road closure will be set up between Church Street, Richmond and Burwood Road, Hawthorn until early Saturday 16 January. Nearby detours include Victoria, Swan, Hoddle and Power streets and heavy delays are likely during peak periods, so please allow plenty of extra time.... The intersection of Bridge Road and Church Street will also close from 2am Thursday 7 to 5am Tuesday 12 January. Trams on routes 48, 75 and 78 will be affected, with services diverting via Victoria or Swan streets. Replacement buses will also be in operation. Heavy delays remain, with queues back to Toorak Road. It may take some time for conditions to return to normal. Until then, try using Dandenong Road and the Princes Highway instead. High Street Road, Waverley Road or Ferntree Gully Road offer good alternatives to the eastern suburbs. 12.01.2022 Glenroy Road closes in both directions through Glenroy, as important Level Crossing Removal Project work takes place over seven weeks, starting this Thursday. Closures will be in place on both sides of the Craigieburn train line from 10pm Thursday 7 January until Sunday 28 February. Two signed detours will be in place:... To the north, via Widford Street, Camp Road through Broadmeadows and Pascoe Vale Road. To the south, via Pascoe Vale Road, Gaffney Street through Pascoe Vale, Cumberland Road, Rhodes Parade and Plumpton Avenue. 11.01.2022 The inbound lanes of the Monash Freeway and Citylink close between Toorak Road and the Domain Tunnel tonight, as Transurban conducts emergency work. Closures will be in place from 10pm to 7am, with detours via Toorak Road through South Yarra or Dandenong Road and Queens Road. You can then use Kings Way to return to the West Gate Freeway and continue your journey.... The outbound entry from Batman Avenue will also close during this time. A signed detour will be set up using Swan and Burnley streets, allowing you to reach the freeway from Yarra Boulevard instead. 09.01.2022 Ramp closures will be in place at the M80 Ring Road and Princes Freeway interchange for six weeks, as the next stage of West Gate Tunnel Project work begins from Sunday night. Ramps connecting the Princes Freeway and Geelong Road, Brooklyn will close from 9pm Sunday 10 January and will re-open by Monday 22 February. The ramp from the M80 Ring Road Altona-bound onto the West Gate Freeway will remain closed through the current and upcoming works.... Once the West Gate Freeway re-opens from 5am Monday, please allow extra time for your journey and plan ahead for the following detours: Inbound traffic on the Princes Freeway wishing to reach Geelong Road, should instead continue onto to the West Gate Freeway and exit at Millers Road. Outbound traffic on Geelong Road should detour via Millers Road and the West Gate Freeway or Kororoit Creek Road to reach the Princes Freeway. Those on the M80 Ring Road wishing to reach the West Gate Bridge should exit at Boundary Road, then use Little Boundary, Geelong and Millers roads to return to the freeway. 08.01.2022 It's breeding season for much of Victoria's wildlife and, as the days get warmer and longer, kangaroos are leaping into action. Sadly, last year the number of vehicle collisions involving kangaroos peaked in October and November, and that trend looks set to continue this year due to increased rainfall across the state. Grass at the sides of roads is often fresher due to increased water run-off, making these areas more appealing to our hungry marsupial mates....
