01.01.2022 The Reserve Bank of Australia has cut the cash rate to a new RECORD low of 0.5% in an effort to soften the economic impacts from COVID-19. What does this mean? Hopefully, lenders will pass on the rate cuts to customers. If you're on a variable rate, the interest rate may go down. Fixed loans are unfortunately unaffected. People looking to get into the market will find that rates are generally cheap and favourable.
