25.01.2022 Last night we hosted a joint road crash rescue training with Euroa CFA and Shepparton Search and Rescue Squad. Throughout the night we ran through how to stabilise the vehicle, use the rescue tools, sharps protection/safety and also casualty handling. A big thankyou goes out to the Euroa CFA for cooking the BBQ for all the volunteers and to Murphys Motors And Tyres for donating the cars for us to cut up. We all had a great night and enjoyed sharing our skills with the CFA and Shepparton Search and Rescue Squad #weworkasone If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Euroa SES, please send us a message or visit www.ses.vic.gov.au/volunteer

21.01.2022 This evening VICSES members across the state have been instructed that all forms of face to face training have been suspended until further notice. We are saddened by this news but understand the need for distancing our members to ensure we maintain our operational capability. We want to assure our community that our members will be turning out to all requests for assistance as normal. We do ask that if you are calling regarding building damage or leaking roofs, or any job that would require us to enter your home that you advise the call taker or one of our members if you are unwell or have been diagnosed with Covid-19. Stay safe.
20.01.2022 CALLING ALL COMMUNITY LEGENDS! Volunteers are the backbone of small communities. Whether you're volunteering your time with emergency services like SES and CFA, or you're simply selling raffle tickets for your local footy club or RSL, community groups need you to survive. Every bit helps. ... If you want to make a difference and can see yourself in Orange, drop us a line. Euroa is recruiting. https://www.facebook.com/VicsesEuroaUnit/videos/364937010903483/
17.01.2022 When given the opportunity to partner with Ambulance Victoria in the Heart Safe Community program, our members were fully behind it. We received a presentation from local Ambulance officers about what we could do to assist in the event of a cardiac arrest. Several of our members have furthered their commitment to the local community by signing up to the GoodSam program as well. By putting our existing defib out on the front wall of our building (37-41 Clifton St) we maintain the availability of the asset for our members if it is required for our SES business but also provide it to the community for 24/7 access if needed. It's a win win for every one.
16.01.2022 A SEVERE Weather Warning has been issued for HEAVY RAINFALL for people in North East and parts of East Gippsland, Northern Country and North Central Forecast Districts. 11.01.2022 Tonight two members from our unit assisted at Gooram Falls with a lift out of an unwell patient. This was going to be the first time our mule was used on a job, however the patient ended up being taken to the helicopter on the other side of the creek and the mule wouldn’t have worked. Our basket stretcher was of great help however and our members did a great job of assisting the ambos on scene. Special thanks goes to Gooram CFA who we called to help, due to low SES members a...vailable. We had Euroa, Nagambie and two MICA Ambulance Victoria crews, along with HEMS on scene. Special thanks to the property owner where the helicopter landed who allowed us to cut the fence and also drove out gear back to our cars so we didn’t have to carry it. #weworkasone See more
11.01.2022 Heavy rainfall is predicted across Victoria and particularly the North East on Wednesday. Take the time to safely clean your gutters before the rain sets in. And remember: Floodwater can be very deep, rise quickly and move fast. Stay safe by always avoiding floodwater. 09.01.2022 Well it’s been pretty wet over the last couple of days. The Seven Creeks Gauge at Euroa peaked at 3.14 metres at 9pm last night (Thursday) and is currently sitting at 2.77m slightly above Minor flood level (2.5m). The Castle Creek Gauge at Telford Bridge peaked at 1.13m at 9.26am yesterday morning just below Minor flood level (1.20m) and is currently sitting at 0.57m. Euroa SES attended a couple of trees over roads and one building damage callout where there was water coming... through the ceiling. Overall we weren’t affected much as a community with riverine and flash flooding. The parkland near the memorial oval got quite wet and a little around the caravan park and seven creeks park. Moglenemby Road had a significant flow going across it and some other local roads had minor flooding but nothing major. From what we have heard from members in Violet Town is that it got quite wet and had minor flash flooding in the streets where gutters and drains couldn’t keep up with the water flow but no damage was done. Just a reminder to everyone to clean out your gutters when the weather gets clear and add the SES number to your phone - 132 500. You can call this number for any storm or flood related emergency assistance. See more

06.01.2022 Last night Euroa SES attended a truck rollover where horses were trapped inside. We assisted with cutting open the roof of the truck to access the horses and remove them. It’s so great to hear that one of the horses has survived and is walking around the paddock. Massive thankyou to Longwood and Euroa CFA for assisting us with cutting open the roof, very professional effort by everyone involved. #weworkasone
