24.01.2022 Focus on the things I can control, be better than I was before the world shut down. Anders Antonsen - Q: What’s the biggest challenge you faced during epidemic and without international tournaments? A: In the beginning of the quarantine we couldn’t really meet any people. It was frustrating not to be able to hang out with friends and family. And boring. The next thing is that there are no tournament and we are not able to travel... I love playing badminton and competing w...ith the other players. I miss it a lot and I’m really looking forward to get back to normal! Q: During the suspension period, what new things or experience did you try? A: My new hobby is to make music. My apartment has turned into a music studio I listen to music all the time, so I thought it would be fun to try and make beats myself. Also, I have started to read books. I haven’t done that since I went to school many years ago... Q: What’s your expectation next? A: I hope that we can get back to playing tournaments again soon. But I want to focus on the things I can control, such as my training. A: It’s tough not doing what you love to do, and not being able to do something about it. For me, it’s also been hard not to have a structured/planned day. Normally I know when to train and what to do, but now I couldn’t. Just have to accept the situation and try to find the best solutions. ... Q: During the suspension period, what new things or experience did you try? A: I found out to do some good alternative training. I started to do some study as well when training was not possible. The normal day changed and I tried to figure out how to get the best out of it. Q: What’s your expectation next? A: I hope that the virus will come under control worldwide, so it will be safe and possible to travel and compete again.
