15.01.2022 In June 1988 Drs. Victor Chang and Lo Zhengxiang at the Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute in China implanted the first St. Vincent’s mechanical heart valve. Dr Victor Chang’s work in building international relations was one of the core reasons for his being awarded the prestigious Companion of the Order of Australia.
