25.01.2022 I do kinesio taping in clinic - to support injured muscles without restricting range of motion, and to improve blood flow and lymphatic drainage. Generally done at the end of the treatment, but you can book 15 minute spots to tape before any sporting event. 0499999636 or 02-6056 2185 to book.

25.01.2022 *CUPPING* what is cupping and how is it used? What are the benefits? In my clinic, it’s used as an ‘accessory’ to my treatments. It’s a great tool for encouraging any stagnant waste or unoxygenated blood to move out from the affected muscle or tissue - or placed on a muscle and involved in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation stretching. It can also be used to gently desensitise the area before it is worked on. Despite common theories, it does NOT remove ‘toxins’ from the body. Marks and bruising from this treatment is common, although black and heavy bruising is not a desired outcome.

23.01.2022 ‘How often should I be coming in?’ Is a question I get asked a lot. Generally, a monthly maintenance treatment is recommended- unless there’s a chronic issue needing to be addressed, or prepping for a surgery. I check in with you at each session, and we work out what’s best for YOU.

19.01.2022 The scalenes Muscle group on the front/side of the neck When tight, they can cause pain to radiate down the arm Mainly responsible for tilting your head and elevating your first and second rib when inhaling A muscle I need to release in most of my clients with postural issues, forward neck and rounded shoulders!

19.01.2022 Its been awhile since Ive posted! Life has gotten in the way of being active on my business socials - but Im back! There are a few little changes coming up so stay tuned but for now lets have a little reintroduction of me: I finished school in 2009 and was working in medical administration for orthopaedic surgeons - the exposure to the different modalities in health support was where my interest in massage began. I finished my diploma in 2014, and began working in a loc...al clinic immediately. Since then, Ive studied elite athlete massage with Vince Consentini, dry needling therapy, pregnancy massage, taping, functional fascial release and have explored different techniques with pediatric massage. I am very passionate about what I do, especially working with pregnancy and children, and dealing with those who suffer from chronic pain. Ive had a large exposure in dealing with migraines, cervicogenic headaches, and many other neck and shoulder issues from incorrect posture or injury - as well as working with clientele with a variety of sports related injuries. 17.01.2022 Qualified in both low and high risk pregnancy massage - I can help you ease musculoskeletal issues and nerve pain, fluid retention, migraines and much more. I have a pregnancy bolster available to use that allows you lay face down comfortably during the treatment $80 for 1 hour, health rebates available!

16.01.2022 *UPPER CROSS SYNDROME* Does this ‘slouched’ posture look familiar? Do you have neck and shoulder discomfort, rounded shoulders and a forward neck? Typically found in those who sit for their job for the majority of the day, Upper Cross Syndrome is a common presentation I see in clinic. Fortunately we get good results with treatments, in stretching and strengthening the muscle imbalances, postural exercises and passive/active stretching of the joints. #posturalawareness #remedialmassage #sportsmassage #dryneedlingtherapy #kinesiotape #mobilisation #deeptissuemassage

13.01.2022 A big question I get asked is whats the difference between acupuncture and dry needling? DNT is focused on pain reduction and improved joint function - targeting myofascial trigger points, connective tissue and neural and muscular problems. Acupuncture restores the flow of energy (Qi) through key points in the body (meridians) to restore balance. So although the needles we use are the same, the treatment and outcomes are very different. #dryneedling #needlingtherapy #remedialmassage #sportsmassage #prevention
