24.01.2022 With our members' generous contribution, we were able to sponsor a day lunch to international student who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Mango Tree Restaurant, Dandenong has been supporting international student for many months now. It is great to see a small business giving back whatever they can to the community in return. One of our members Mrs Sarojini Asirvatham has volunteered on that day and represented the organisations.

03.01.2022 THEEPAWALI FESTIVAL It is an honour to be able to speak at last Saturday's Theepawali Festival, and acknowledge the tireless work of the Tamil Senior Citizens ...Benevolent Society and Tamil Women's Benevolent Society over this trying period. COVID-19 has presented many community groups with unprecedented obstacles. Yet, the Tamil Senior Citizens Benevolent Society and Tamil Women's Benevolent Society have persevered in spite the uncertainty we faced. Your resilience is a testament to the strength and solidarity of the Tamil community. As a migrant, the Tamil community’s work in fostering an understanding of culture and language resonates with me. Victoria relies on multiculturalism for its vibrancy, diversity and prosperity. It is vital we embrace our heritage and cultural-roots, and pass this understanding onto the next generation. The tireless efforts of the Senior Citizens Benevolent Society and Tamil Women's Benevolent Society to engage the community, help keep your traditions and culture alive. It is not without the support and invaluable work of organisations like the Tamil Senior Citizens Benevolent Society and Tamil Women's Benevolent Society that we are able to move towards a brighter future. Thank you to all the volunteers, committee members and community leaders for organising Theepawali Festival. It was a pleasure to celebrate your resilience the face of adversity.
