Keep in mind sleep is crucial to overall health and daily functioning.... So following a good nights sleep , with a powerful morning routine will have your day off to the right start. This is also especially important when competing in all equestrian disciplines. Having a solid routine for both yourself and your horse will better sync equine and equestrian for maximum performance and focus. Giving both equine and equestrian chance to perform at there best. This has a positive impact on the remainder of the day, setting you up for success and off to a great start . Prepared and ready to go. Morning routines can vary between competition day and training days but consistency is key aiming for maximum flow and firing up momentum to perform at your best. Some things to consider for powerful morning routines include: - Hydration ( drinking water is so important first thing in the morning because our bodies loose a lot of water while we sleep and our brains are appropriately 75% water ) -Making the bed is an easy win to get momentum going for first accomplishment of the day . - Grattitude ( write out three or more things you are grateful for ) - Affirmation s and visualisation ( mentally prepare and invision competition and day ahead ) - Stretch / Exercise ( see my YouTube ( link below ) : 10min Morning Routine Workout for Equestrians | Victoria Laughton Fitness ) . 05.01.2022 Did you know that your brain generates up to 70,000 thoughts per day. It races with the speed of the fastest car. It’s quite fascinating really and if you compare that to a galloping horse your brain races as fast if not faster than that.... It got me thinking. It takes a lot of courage to be an equestrian flying through the air at the speed of a gallop or the elegance and grace of freestyle dressage, there’s nothing quite like it. A mustang is an impressive car but what I’m even more impressed with is real horse power. The bond between equine and equestrian is like no other. If our brains generate up to 70,000 thoughts per day , the brains of our equine friends would be measuring up to impressive amounts as well. Riding a horse takes such skill. The connection between equine and equestrian is essential. The trust and bond between horse and rider is like no other, as with this sport both athletes have a mind of there own.
