22.01.2022 One thing we didn't anticipate was the number of cats given up by their owners, in the fire area. We have taken on many cats, many of which are pregnant or have newborns. We expect to have around 100 kittens born... Thats a lot of kittys! The pounds in the fire area are full and are in need of help to get these pusses out alive. I know many of you offered to help and we will be contacting you, but if anyone reading this can mind a cat or some kittens for a couple of months or so we would love it if you contacted us.

18.01.2022 The volunteers here have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to coordinate collection and delivery of the donations we have received to those people and animals that need them. This is just one load of several that have been taken and delivered to the relief centre in Bunyip. While we were there today, delivering this food and supplies, 2 ladies, who had lost their homes in the fires, came up and hugged the volunteers there, thanking us for what we were doing. Those ...hugs and the appreciation from those affected by the fires are for all of you on this page, those who have donated, volunteered, offered to accommodate or transport animals in need. Without you, this food would not be there, these animals would go hungry. The people in these areas need our help and they truly do appreciate your generosity. I want to say a huge THANK YOU from the all those at the relief centre and from the volunteers here. You are all amazing. Please help spread the word, donate if you can. The food we took today will really only last a few short days. See more

02.01.2022 Update: At the moment we are waiting for those on the ground to assess what help is needed and where. It’s still a dynamic situation because the fire is still burning. Roads are open only to emergency vehicles and we don’t want to impede them getting to where they need to be. Help will be needed over the next several weeks and supplies will likely be needed for months. This will be a sustained effort. We do need betadine, gauze, burn cremes, elastoplast, vetwrap, bute, carriers, electric fence units. Please message the page to arrange drop off/collection. Thank you all so much for your offers. Stay tuned we will be contacting you as needed.

02.01.2022 Please contact us if you can help, if not share in case you know someone who can!
