21.01.2022 JUNIOR FORMULA 500 AWARDS 2019/2020 DRIVER OF THE YEAR 1st PLACE V5 JACKSON VAN GINNEKEN... Jacko had another absolutely outstanding year bringing home Driver of the Year by 5 points! Jacko is a good all round racer with his ever consistent results (even coming from a high points invert from 6th to 2nd in the final at Laang Speedway) He continues to run smoothly around the track. Not only being good at what he does on the track, it is also noted by his fellow competitors being awarded the drivers driver award. This award is voted on by his peers that enjoy racing wheel to wheel with him. His great sportsmanship on and off the track shines through and always with a smile on his face! Keep up the great work, Congratulations Jacko !!

17.01.2022 Due to the current situation of COVID-19, our season has come to a premature end. This means that all our remaining events for 2020 have been cancelled. We are very sorry to have to cut the season short, but with the unforeseeable future surrounding this virus and the ever changing restrictions that keep coming into play, there has been no other options for the tracks. We would like to say a big thankyou to our devoted sponsors we’ve had throughout the year that have suppor...ted us and all played a massive part in what, we feel has been a great season! Preparations are already being made to make next season an even better one! Fingers crossed this all blows over soon and we can see everyone at our annual presentation night, where we can pay tribute to all our valued sponsors more personally.

16.01.2022 KEN WILLSHER CLASSIC POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19 The Ken Willsher Classic crew in conjunction with Laang Speedway and the Victorian Formula 500 Association wishes... to inform everyone that the April 25th event is regretfully postponed. Postponing we believe is in the best interest of our patrons and families. It is obvious to be better safe than sorry and we have adopted this policy for this important event. "Nobody wanted this result but we have to do the right thing by everyone involved including the volunteers and Laang Speedway, the racers and the fans," said Cheryl Willsher. Following on from the washout of the 2019 Ken Willsher Classic, everyone involved in the event was keen to put together a stunning event in 2020. "We are definitely postponing, not cancelling, with many discussions to be held regarding a suitable date to cater for everyone involved," confirmed Cheryl. 15.01.2022 Due to the current restrictions in place, we will NOT be having a committee meeting this Wednesday the 15th of April. We will continue to keep up to date with the restrictions, and make arrangements as needed.

13.01.2022 Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic if our season was to go ahead, what would you prefer to run over the Christmas periods? To take the pressure off both drivers and supporting sponsors we are considering running a Summer Series opposed to our normal Speedweek Series. We are still working out the finer details, but the Summer Series would be an individual nightly event as opposed to Speedweek being an overal series event. Please comment below your vote, ONLY Summer Series or Speedweek. Any other comments will be deleted.

12.01.2022 Updated Season Calendar! Please note, these are all subject to cancellation due to COVID restrictions and Tracks decisions. This season we won’t be running any series events, this is a decision we made at our AGM on Wednesday night. Due to restrictions and the uncertainty we made the decision to run race to race and all points will go towards end of season awards.

02.01.2022 Been toying with the idea of making calender's with the photos i have got from the Vic formula 500 title and 2 weeks prior to that, if i got a photo of you raci...ng then your going to be in it, they would be around $45-$50 each. Size would be A4 and centre folding with the year starting in the month of the first race next season. Will include next seasons race date and if anyone wanted any other group related dates in there then they could be added, Would i be able to get this shared around the F500 people to see what interest there would be in something like this.
