19.01.2022 Uncle Ty Ford, once again we are not worthy! You are too good dribbling your golf shots along the very tight fairways of Brighton GC not caring a hoot about the wind that swirled high up above the tree lines. That was your game and you stick with it till the end, till all your shots finished nicely in the cups for a very tidy 45 stable-ford points that we haven’t seen in a long while. All you guys high ball hitters take note, OK.... It was a wasted effort as a lot of our young guns came out firing with the likes of Hung, Van, Thuong, Mach, Vu producing scores of 36 pts and higher. Most regrettable was Mai Tran firing 43 points and missed out let alone An Nguyen and our Captain Phuong Nguyen scoring a measly 42 points. They all got dusted by our most senior player in the club, the all almighty 36 Kg and 80 years of age Uncle Ty Richard Ford! You go, Uncle Ty!

18.01.2022 Hi everyone, It must be this year or bust as we witness a sense of urgency in Vinh Tran’s demeanor and the outcome of his action speaks louder than words as he won twice in a row 2 of the many majors we have for this year already. Will he be replacing Chris Dao’s kind of record that Chris racked up last year’s first 6 months? The end results remains to be seen but somebody better hurry or our syllabus will end up going that way soon.... So Vinh Tran is in a full gallop for this year of the Horse with the 1st monthly Medal that he won with a net 66 beating his nearest rival Andy Nguyen by 2 shots. We feel for you, Andy as you went out the 1st nine with only 2 over 37 but losing to Vinh’s gallant fight back on the back nine with a 4 over 38 to your average 8 over 43. We feel for you as some member in our group had only have to suffer 3 holes to ruin the possible nice scores on the back nine of this dormant but rough and toothy sleeping tiger of a golf course that is Freeway GC. Try harder everyone! I know I will or die trying! Best Gross Scores: Vinh Tran 78, Tuan Nguyen 80, Andy Nguyen 80, Thuong Pham 82, Nhien Dinh 83, Tom Vu 90, Phuong Nguyen 90. Best Nett Total - (par69 /CCR 67) Ladies (par70 , CCR 68): Vinh Tran 66, Andy Nguyen 68, Phuong Nguyen 70, Nhien Dinh 71, Tuan Nguyen 74, Thuong Pham 74, Anne Nguyen 74. 08.01.2022 Hi everyone, CHUC MUNG NAM MOI 2014! CUNG CHUC TAN XUAN 2014!... CUNG HY PHAT TAI 2014! A New Year of the Horse has come and we hope to have the best of everything this year. Wishing you all and family a galloping year full of Hope, Prosperity and Success in everything you touch, GOLF included! We kicked off the New Year with our Vietnamese TET 2014 tournament at Hidden Valley GC with a bang! Everyone was treated to a game with golf cart, after-the-game’s delicious Lunch and great bantering among friends under the shade of the golf course’s pavilion. Came out on top was our trio of 3rd place getters on a nett score of even par 73: Paul Lee, Andy Nguyen and Thuong Pham but someone would have to take home the only 3rd place Trophy à THUONG PHAM on the basis of lower Gross score of 82. Runner Up was the very consistent performer AN NGUYEN on the nett score of 70 (-3) who lost on the count back from VINH TRAN with the capped best nett of -3 but who had a lower Gross of 82 Vs 87. Overall the golf course was a gem with scenic holes surrounded by natural habitats and water vista on most holes. If you took your eyes off the ball for 1 second before it finished rolling, however, you would lose it easily in the case of yours truly’ personal experience of having missed the fairways by only a meter or two. And the water, you did well if you only deposited 1 ball in there as the course is surrounded with those H2O on all sides. The vista was both beautiful to look at and terrifying to say the least on some of the island holes. Well done guys, especially Vinh Tran, An Nguyen, Thuong Pham, Andy and Paul Lee for having started the year with a big bang! Keep it up! A special welcome to our newest member, TOAN NGUYEN, new golflink membership number 3410400081. Your card is in the snail mail. Hope you enjoy your time with us and show us more of your talent.

07.01.2022 Congrats to Anh Loc! Well deserved win!
