21.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Just a quick update. Unfortunately, there is no indoor sport until the next announcement for easing restrictions. We are in close contact with Basketball Victoria and will let you know as soon as we have an update.... For clarity, there will be no games Monday night unless you hear otherwise. We will send a text to the team reps when we get word. Dan

16.01.2022 Dear Teams, The Victorian Government, on advice from the Department of Health (formerly DHHS), has enacted a circuit-breaker lockdown for all of Victoria, with these measures in effect from Thursday 27 May at 11.59pm until Thursday 3 June at 11.59pm. This means that there will be no games on Monday 31st of May. ... RETURN TO SPORT REACTIVATION STATUS THURSDAY 27 MAY AT 11.59PM TO THURSDAY 3 JUNE AT 11.59PM Praying this is over quickly! We will continue to keep you updated. VCBA

14.01.2022 Due to the cancellation of this weeks games we will no longer be holding our AGM which was scheduled for tomorrow evening (Monday the 16th of March) We will continue to communicate with our team reps and members over the upcoming days as to the status of our competition.

10.01.2022 Update for 21/6 (Next Monday). I have confirmation from the stadium that the RBA has made the decision to hold off on basketball until the restrictions are lifted. This is due to the logistics of keeping the 50 people cap and coordinating a split comp. For this reason, the VCBA will follow and continue to keep a close eye on the restrictions as they are slowly reduced.... Hoping we will be back the week after. Keep you posted, Dan

09.01.2022 In relation to the attached post we are suspending all games until further notice. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns. We will continue to update our team representatives as we navigate through this next stage.

06.01.2022 And we are back! looking forward to seeing you again on Monday night. We are limited to 300 in the stadium, and 50 per court. For the people following, thats ORANGE-50 REACTIVATION LEVEL. As a heads up, we will not be playing catch-up on any rounds, we will pickup the fixture as is. ... At this stage I will be processing a lot of draws for the last few weeks :-) Cheers, Dan Masks are currently mandatory for all patrons over 12 years of age at all times indoors (state-wide) unless medically exempt. Players, coaches and referees are exempt while on court participating in an exertive role, however, must be worn while not playing and on entry and exit of stadium.

05.01.2022 Hi All, we are currently seeking clarification on the latest lockdown announcement. The issue we have is that we are limited to 50 people per venue which includes all courts, staff and ref's. I am seeking further clarification on the latest directive - but at this stage its looking painful!... Dan Message from BBal Vic: In line with Victorian Government health directives, basketball in Greater Melbourne will move to the ORANGE-50 REACTIVATION LEVEL, however with a maximum limit of 50 people indoors in a venue at one time and limited to the minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity. Spectators in Greater Melbourne are not allowed, excluding the people necessary for events such as coaches, referees, carers, parents and guardians.

03.01.2022 Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 16th March 2020 at 6.30pm @ The Rings. This meeting is compulsory for all team reps! look forward to seeing you there!
