22.01.2022 PARA | The second day of Para competition at the The Victorian Dressage Festival took place this morning in the main arena at Boneo Park Yesterday's competition... was the team test and today the combinations completed their individual tests. The winners were: Grade I: Marnie Clapham & Freedom Spyda, 59.345% Grade II: Victoria Davies Para Equestrian and Andaluka Elegido, 64.853% Grade III: Emma Booth Para Equestrian and Mogelvangs Zidane, 73.627% Grade IV: Zoë Vorenas - Para Equestrian and Neversfelde Kipling, 72.398% Grade V: Stuart Drysdale and Blueberry 20, 62.619% Zoe Vorenas, winner of the Grade IV competition said, "I am very happy with how Kip’s work is progressing! It’s nice to feel like all that hard work is paying off and the scores a creeping up bit by bit. Yesterday we just wanted a nice, happy and relaxed test. Kip is so willing to work harder and always wants to please, so sometimes keeping him a little less expressive is the tricky part! Today he was really with me and I felt like we could start to show off what we’ve even developing at home. Only small glimpses of it, but he stayed with me and was very settled in the ring. I’m really happy to post two good, solid scores towards our Tokyo campaign and I’m looking forward to dancing in our freestyle tomorrow." 17.01.2022 Day four of the Victorian Dressage Festival, pony medium championship has been run and won and it was a close fought three way race with Amelia Corello and Bamb...orough Jabiluka first scoring 68.041% in the 4B test and 65.385% in the 4C, second sees Justine Greer and Hilkens Nougat Cream (AKA "Noug's - The Golden Boy") owned by Tina Barker (QLD) with scores of 66.284% and 65.641%, third was Bella Plumbridge and Illawong Harvest Moon (AKA Piglet). Bella and "Piglet" have had a great show also taking out the Pony Advanced Championship on day one with a score of 69. I understand "Noug's" will be returning "home" to Tina's property on the Sunny Coast in the new year. A little more about Hilkens Nougat Cream, a German Riding Pony stallion by Neckar out of the mare Golden Deern, Noug's was the winner of the 2005 Weser Ems foal show and he was crowned the overall winner of the 2005 Landtage Nord Foal show. 2008 Tina Barker bought him and imported him into Australia. 16.01.2022 NZ's Wendi Williamson and Don Amour together won the Grand Prix CDI-W Freestyle at the Serata Equine Dressage Festival (The Victorian Dressage Festival) at Bone...o Park, with a terrific score of 72.300%! It was the FEI World Cup Pacific League Final, meaning Wendi now has the opportunity to compete at the 2020 World Cup Final in Las Vegas. The event this weekend is also a Tokyo Paralympic Qualifier, and there were some great performances from our Para riders. Zoe Vorenas scored 72.398% to win the Grade 4 and Emma Booth scored 73.627% to win the Grade 3, among many great results! 05.01.2022 The overall winner of the Racing Victoria Off The Track Award at the Serata Equine 2019 Victorian Dressage Festival was the 5 year old grey gelding Reynvan Colnago (Racing Name: Noneofus) ridden by Deb Van Iersel! The winner of the Off The Track Award for the EA Classes was Lockleys Park Antes ridden by Alex Brennan. The winner of the Off The Track Award for the Participant Classes was Reynvan Colnago (Racing Name: Noneofus) ridden by Deb Van Iersel.... Reynvan Colnago was previously raced by Musk Creek Farm as Noneofus. He was purchased at the Magic Millions yearling sales having been bred by Cambridge Stud in New Zealand (Reliable Man (GB)/Obey). Now owned by Deb Van Iersel, the previous owners have taken a keen interest in his post racing career and were instrumental in finding him an equestrian home. Having recently tackled Tooradin Horse Trials in the EV65, Deb reports that this absolute gem of a horse took the Festival all in his stride...a testament to his wonderful temperament and ‘can do’ nature. Deb and Reynvan Colnago took home $2000.00 in prize money thanks to the wonderful sponsorship of Racing Victoria’s Off The Track Program. Congratulations Deb! Looking for a new dressage horse? At the Serata Equine Photography 2019 Victorian Dressage Festival the best performed "Off The Track" thoroughbred across all official competitive classes (excluding Freestyles) will receive a Championship rug and $1500.
