25.01.2022 With lockdown restrictions looking to potentially be extended and around for a long time, here at the Victorian Honda Club we would like to let you know that you aren’t alone. Mentally, it can be draining to be stuck at home without the usual outlets like going for a drive, track days, and many car-related activities not being available. Some of the key things we’ve noticed amongst the club admins to keep us together is sharing what we miss and see if there are alternatives t...o fill the void. For me some of these included watching anime (Initial D, Wangan Midnight are always a hit), getting some virtual track time in on Assetto Corsa, and keeping in touch with friends and family over various chat platforms. Finding what works for you is key here and it may not be easy. *Trigger Warning Self Harm* An alarming stat that has recently been published by the ABC is that there is an increase in self-harm related injuries at the emergency department. What’s even worse is that the increase has largely been children. It’s a hard time for all of us and there are multiple avenues for support available. The club has recently created a Discord Chat channel for all members to join, feel free to drop in and have a chat. There are various professional support channels available so please use them as required. Speaking to someone else outside your circle can often ease difficulties faced.
