20.01.2022 *** VICTORIA BREAKS NOVEMBER TEMPERATURE RECORDS *** A number of November records were broken across the state on Saturday with the northern regions reaching up to 18C above the November temperature average! Sydney didn't fair too well either with the overnight minimum on Saturday night just dip down to 25.3C, making this the highest November minimum in 162 years of records and the highest of any month in nearly four years! ... 07.01.2022 The next system is currently hammering South Australia with gusts over 100kmh. 04.01.2022 We've had a few confused fans in the comments on tonight's radar update. In the post we mentioned there was patchy rain near Geelong. The word patchy is a term used when there is 'gaps' or 'patches' of no rain showing on the radar in an area where there is rain if that makes sense! It doesn't refer to how heavy the rain is. 01.01.2022 *** HOT, DRY AND GUSTY CONDITIONS AHEAD *** It's going to be a warm one tomorrow folks! Gusty northerly winds are forecast to strengthen over much of South Australia and Victoria tomorrow ahead of a low-pressure trough crossing the states. Mildura is expected to receive their first 40C day of the season and Oodnadatta in Far North SA is expected to reach a steaming 46C.... As the trough brings dry air down from the interior, humidity is likely to be extremely low with some inland regions reaching single digits which will increase the fire danger risk. These conditions are prime for dangerous heat conditions so remember to check in on your neighbours, pets and the elderly.
