16.01.2022 Had a great time visiting the multicultural communities on the weekend. Was delighted to see the Community Hall for the Tamil Community built and managed by the... the Victorian Tamil Association in Dandenong. Was a real delight meeting some community members and the the management committee. A big thank you to the president Param Shanmugavarathan, as well as Siva Sivayogan, Paul Rajeswaran, Satha Sathananthan, Raj Narayanan, Ranji Somasdunaram, Alex Varghese, Ranu Vinayagamoorthy and Bala Mayooran. You guys are doing terrific work for your community. Keep up the community spirit guys.

It was an honour to meet Lakshanya a dancing teacher at the new Tamil Community Centre in Dandenong. Lakshania is an exponent of Tamil Classical Dancing (Bharatha Natyam). We are pleased to inform that we will be able to declare a dividend of 5.5% on your investment for the year 2017/18. The Dividend is calculated Quarterly and paid Annually. You have the following options to receive the Dividend: 1.Cash Dividend by EFT to your nominated Bank Account. 2.Scrip Dividend Additional Units in lieu of Cash Dividend You must be a registered Unit Holder as at 30th June 2018 to be eligible to participate in the Dividend distribution. 01.01.2022 We have 25,664 Tamil Speaking people in Victoria and need 800 people's financial support to make this project a reality. Will you be one of them ?

01.01.2022 My family was one of the many Tamil Sri Lankan families that settled in Melbourne after the war. So many in our community arrived here with nothing and had to s...tart life again from scratch. We have endured so much, but continue to be a generous and strong community. We never forget those we've lost and left behind. The Tamil community is now working towards establishing Victoria's first Tamil community centre in Dandenong and in parliament I urged the government to provide support to make this a reality. This community centre comes at an important time for the Tamil community here in Victoria. The centre will provide activities for seniors and youth, spaces for community events, a library and language supports and more. There are many newly arrived people from Tamil backgrounds, many of whom have arrived seeking asylum and refuge, who will especially benefit from the centre. We hope that the centre receives the funding it needs and we urge the Minister and community to support this wonderful initiative!
