14.01.2022 What a wonderful few days shared with good friends and gorgeous ponies at the 2020 Victorian Youth Dressage Championships. Super proud of Sasha, her new pony C...hamp and Marvin who leaves us this week to join a lovely family in Bruthen. Both ponies gave their very best and shone in their own ways. Congratulations to everyone who competed, it was a pleasure for Charlie’s Cookies to sponsor the Medium Championship. Thank you to all the other sponsors and a big thank you to the VYDC Committee, Judges and Volunteers for a great weekend. A special thank-you to Anne Hall who has taught and supported Sasha for the past 9 years. She has helped to make Sasha the rider and person she is today and our ponies would not be the happy souls that they are without her expert care and guidance. Particular thanks to her for all the extra hours she put in to help us choose Champ and for giving him and Sasha such a great start. . . . 13.01.2022 One of the most prestigious awards made each year at the Victorian Youth Dressage Championships is that donated by Deb Hamid and Kevin Hitchins. Deb is a gemologist and is a director of family company Hamid Bros Pty Ltd - Gem Merchants and Kevin's company is E. A. Drew - Gold and Platinumsmith, Deb chooses the stones and Kevin crafts the product. Both are actively engaged in Dressage with Deb an A level judge and Kevin an FEI Steward (among many hats the pair wear). The wi...nner in 2020 was Jessica Dertell and Eskara de Jeu. For your interest this is the scoring criteria. Awarded to the EA/FEI Pony Tour, Junior Tour, Young Rider Tour, Small Tour, Medium Tour or U25 Grand Prix Tour winners who have achieved the highest combined percentage results. In the case of a tie, the rider with the highest percentage in the relevant Freestyle will be the winner. A competitor may only receive this award once. Well done to Jessica who scored a total of 210.229 at Small Tour level and our sincere thanks to Deb and Kevin for their support and belief in young riders.

02.01.2022 The 2021 2Construct Victorian Youth Dressage Championships have concluded after four fantastic days of competition and collaboration! Despite cool conditions, 2...20 competitors descended on Boneo Park Equestrian Centre for this State Championship competition for dressage riders under 25 years of age.
