20.01.2022 Thank you for your patience as we have been taking our time to navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic and what that means for Reclink Australia as an ...organisation, and for the Reclink Community Cup. We appreciate we're living through some unprecedented times right now and we, just like you, are doing our best to keep up with the rapidly changing environment. It is with much regret that we officially announce the 2020 National Reclink Community Cup Tour has been cancelled in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, and Tasmania. The Melbourne Reclink Community Cup has at this stage been postponed. We are working with the relevant authorities, stakeholders and advisors to come up with a solution which may allow us to hold the event later in the year and we will be in contact with you as soon as we know more. We hope you are all doing your part staying safe, staying sane, and staying home. We know you are all doing it tough. As soon as this is over our programs and our events will be more important than ever, and we look forward to your continued support when you can. If you would like additional information please contact Danielle Hiscoke - Email: [email protected] or Phone: 0472 756 010 Stay safe and keep well John Ballis Chief Executive Officer

16.01.2022 What an incredible weekend and by far our most successful headspace Cup over the 4 years, with our event ambassadors Adam Saad (Essendon FC) and Maddy Keryk (Ge...elong FC)!!! A huge thank you to everyone that came down and supported the day. The day doesn't happen without all of the amazing players that came from club's all around Victoria and gave up their Sunday! Thank you to the Northern Football Netball League and Osteopaths of Ivanhoe who looked after our players and kept them injury free! We are extremely grateful for Jamie Morey and Prop and Pose Photography for capturing the day as well as the two awesome bands What the Funk and NoLess that kept us entertained! The event doesn't happen without the generous support of our sponsors: Collingwood Football Club Aintree Group VIA Architects Osteopaths of Ivanhoe La Ionica Melbourne Chain Wire Fencing Timeless Watches Rubia Coffee Group F45 Training Collingwood and Kennards Hire for all of their equipment! Lastly, thanks to Mick and Clare for their help organising such a successful day! The YAC did an amazing job and we are proud to say that we met our target of $25,000!!!

16.01.2022 RIP Colin Tully One of Victoria Park's finest.

15.01.2022 Footy is back! And the change rooms at Victoria Park are set for a multi-million dollar upgrade, transforming the venue into a first-class centre for AFL Women'...s. The project is part of the Government’s $45 million program to upgrade facilities for elite women’s football. Collingwood’s AFLW team has helped breathe new life into Vic Park, strengthening the relationship the club has had with the ground for more than a century, with plenty more to come. Looking forward to seeing the ground come into a new age of glory. (P.S Yes, this photo was taken in 2019 before social distancing measures. FWIW, in 1979, it would have been very difficult to get 1.5 metres near me on the field.)

13.01.2022 Ground is going to be tip-top for AFLW 4.0

11.01.2022 Training continues tomorrow. Brekky at 10 am & footy 11:30 am . All welcome regardless of ability . #morethanjustfooty

10.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we inform our Collingwood community of the passing of former captain and much loved legend of our club Terry Waters. Recruited from Dandenong, Terry played 163 games for Collingwood and scored 181 goals in his ten seasons at Victoria Park from 1963 to 1972. He won the 1966 E W Copeland Trophy, the 1963 and 1964 Gordon Coventry Trophy (Leading goal kicker) and captained Collingwood in 1970 and 1971. Vale Terry Waters

10.01.2022 Happy Birthday Collingwood FC! For 129 years the Collingwood Football Club has brought us joy, tears, frustration. elation and every other human emotion that could possibly be felt. Its been a bumpy ride with many ups and more than our fair share of downs. The test of our character has been in how we bounce back. After the disastrous presidency of Ern Clarke, Jack Hickey lead Collingwood to be the only league team to go from a wooden spoon in 1976 to finish top of the ladde...r in 1977. A record that still stands today. After the calamitous "New Magpies" Allan McAlister lead Collingwood to the drought breaking 1990 premiership. We sit here today, on our 129th birthday, on the eve of a new era at Collingwood. Things look pretty grim again but if everyone who loves the Collingwood Football Club works together to make this new era a better one, a more inclusive one, we will surely rise to be the great football club that we should be. It is now a time to be better, to do better. Racism has no place in sport and certainly no place in the club that proudly wears the Black and White stripes. The experiences of Wally Lovett, Heritier Lumumba, Leon Davis, Adrian McAdam and many others who have felt marginalised for what they look like must never be allowed to be repeated. Lets raise a glass to our Mighty Magpies and to a better future for all who play for, work for or barrack for the Collingwood Football Club, the team of Black and White.

09.01.2022 Captain my captain Collingwood's VFL Captain of eight seasons, Jack 'Rooke' Hellier, has called time on his fantastic VFL career. We could not have asked for a better leader of men and mentor to the boys learning the game. We thank Jack for his passion and dedication and all the great moments over the last decade.... Enjoy a well earned retirement Rooke

01.01.2022 Happy Birthday to the Collingwood Football Club! On February 12th, 1892, a meeting was held at the Collingwood Town Hall for citizens to discuss the possibility of establishing a football team to play in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) competition that year. Popular politician William Beazley MLA chaired the meeting in front of a packed out Town Hall with several people climbing up into the windows to observe proceedings. It was never really in doubt, the Collingwood... Football Club had to happen. Victoria Park was proclaimed the place to play. W. D. Beazley, in his first role as club president, secured a 600 loan from the council to level and top dress the surface and erect a picket fence around the ground. The VFA approved the club's admission for the 1892 season and the first game was scheduled to be played at Princes Park against fellow working class club Carlton on Saturday May 7th. In a gesture of goodwill Carlton agree to move the game to Victoria Park and give Collingwood the gate takings to get us started. Carlton was a fellow working class club in those days and a strong advocate for our inclusion into the VFA...oh how times have changed. A new grandstand was also quickly drawn up to be built to provide offices and facilities for the players but this would not be opened until mid-June and in the meantime the players used the Yarra Hotel in Johnston Street to change and run up Rich Street to the ground for the games. Happy Birthday to the Mighty Magpies! Floreat Pica!
