08.01.2022 Flossing is just as important as brushing! Bristles of our toothbrush can't reach in between our teeth, so we need to make sure they are cleaned with floss to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. If you find floss a little difficult to use, there is always the alternative of using a flossette or an interdental brush! #dentalhealthweek2020 #dental #howmuchsugarisinyourtrolley #floss #flossing
05.01.2022 Brushing twice a day, morning and night, for 2 minutes with fluoride containing toothpaste is the key to keeping healthy teeth, gums and mouth. When brushing you should take care to gently brush in small circles, remembering to brush the outside, inside and chewing surfaces of your teeth. When purchasing a toothbrush, look for a brush with small head and soft bristles. Also, don't forget to brush your tongue!... #dentalhealthweek2020 #dental #howmuchsugarisinyourtrolley #toothbrush
02.01.2022 In 2019, only 55.5% of adults had a dental check-up within the past 12 month period! It is recommended that you visit your dentist every 6 months for regular check-up and cleans. Routine dental check-ups are very important for your teeth, gums and mouth as a whole. We can detect any changes to your teeth or gums earlier during routine check-ups which will in most cases mean more straightforward (and cheaper!) treatments can be provided!... #dentalhealthweek2020 #dental #howmuchsugarisinyourtrolley #checkup
02.01.2022 This week is Dental Health Week! And to start the week off we are talking about sugar! The amount of sugar hiding in your food and drinks will take you by surprise. When bacteria in your mouth consume sugar, they produce acids that weaken the tooth enamel which can lead to dental decay (the most prevalent dental disease in Australia). If left untreated, dental decay can cause toothaches and infections, and may require complex treatments. Let's reduce our sugar intake and keep our teeth healthy! #dental #dentalhealthweek2020 #howmuchsugarisinyourtrolley @ Victoria Point Family Dental
