23.01.2022 Equestrian High Performance Weekly Update 13th July, 2020 As the Covid-19 situation around the globe continues to evolve, and domestically we see the reintrod...uction of lockdown in some States, the health and wellbeing of our riders, horses, and support teams remains our highest priority. We urge the high performance equestrian community to abide strictly by the latest government directives in order to minimise the spread of Covid-19 and to make health and wellbeing a priority. We continue to monitor the situation closely and communicate any developments diligently with our stakeholders. In these uncertain times we are again reminded of the strength, resilience and versatility of our athletes and the Equestrian High Performance Program. Our riders continue to focus on their Tokyo 2020 preparations and achieving their individual performance plan goals, adapting to the varied landscape the pandemic has forced upon our sport. The Equestrian High Performance Program remains at the forefront of innovation, constantly finding and developing new ways and areas to support our athletes to perform at their best. The geographical boundaries have been shifted as the Program has sought to make greater use of digital resources, workshops, training programs, discussion forums and communication tools to close the gap and bring Team Australia together in this time of uncertainty. Last week the FEI announced that the previously cancelled FEI Driving World Championship Four In Hand will now take place in Valkenswaard (NED) 711 October 2020. The Championship, which had originally been scheduled to take place in Kronenberg (NED) in September 2020, was cancelled due to the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak. The FEI are yet to update the qualification criteria for the newly reinstated event but as soon as this information becomes available the new Australian Selection Policy will be drafted. In addition the FEI also made the decision to amend Article 914.2 of the FEI Driving Rules to allow Drivers wishing to compete at the FEI Driving World Championship for Singles 2020 in Pau (FRA), 21-26 October, to now possess a 2* status rating or higher. These amendments can be found on the FEI website here: https://inside.fei.org//dri/main-events/world-singles-2020. The Australian National Driving Selectors are currently working on amending the selection policies for both Championship events to reflect the FEI changes and as soon as the policies are available we will share them with our stakeholders. In these challenging and uncertain times the Equestrian High Performance Program remains committed to ensuring our athletes and team are adequately supported and that their wellbeing is not sacrificed in the pursuit of performance. We have been working closely with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) to develop an Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement structure that services our athletes and takes into account the unique nature of equestrian sport. Last week Equestrian High Performance staff met virtually with key AIS program leaders to discuss ideas and requirements in order to create a structure that can assist our riders with engagement, mental health, career progression, education, personal development, conduct and professionalism. The Equestrian High Performance Program will continue these important discussions with the AIS in order to provide a sound and compatible platform to benefit our riders. Currently we remain focussed on preparing our athletes for the postponed Games in 2021 and sending forth our strongest team to represent Australia at the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. We continue to engage in open communication with the FEI, the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and Paralympics Australia (PA) to ensure all requirements are met in order for our riders to compete at the Games. Our National Selectors are also in the process of reviewing the Olympic and Paralympic Selection Policies and we look forward to presenting these updated policies once they have been through the required review process with the AOC and PA. As always the health and safety of our people and horses remain our highest priority as we work together as a united high performance community to navigate these unprecedented times. #HighPerformance #Update #Covid19 #Equestrian #AusEquestrianTeam Equestrian Victoria Equestrian NSW Equestrian South Australia Inc Equestrian Western Australia Equestrian Western Australia Equestrian Tasmania Equestrian Queensland Eventing NSW Equestrian Victoria- Eventing Eventing Queensland Equestrian SA Eventing Jumping NSW Inc Jumping Queensland Jumping Vic Jumping Tasmania Inc Equestrian SA Jumping Dressage NSW Inc Dressage Queensland Dressage Victoria Dressage Tasmania Dressage South Australia Dressage Western Australia Dressage Australia Australian Dressage Riders Rep. Hopefully this lockdown does not extend past the 6 weeks currently predicted & that no more lives are lost.... Stay safe & away from anywhere you dont need to be because we want to see you all again.

20.01.2022 If you give your child a pony, they will want to ride. Youll buy them the best pony you can find, followed by a hat, boots and all the other things pony. You ...look for a local stables to ride at where you start to socialise with the horsey community...and then life as you know it, will end. Before you know it, they want to go to shows so you join BS there will be no more lazy weekends watching TV. You will see more sunrises than you ever thought possible. Every spare minute of your time will be spent driving horseboxes and enduring a crazy addiction to practice for the next show. Your house may be a mess, and your car will be dirty. All because you gave your child a pony. Your weekends will be spent freezing or burning to death on a fold up chair. And their weekends will be spent gaining confidence and friends, learning new skills and having fun and getting dirty!!!! You will be there the day he or she takes the first few steps of canter, the first taste of a jump, first rosette, first win. And they will make you SO proud. Other parents will congratulate you, but you feel weird saying thank you because its not you on the pony, its your child. Its everything that they did, they achieved. And right before your eyes, your little boy/girl will be transformed from the baby who bounced around on their rocking horse into an exceptional young horse enthusiast on the hunt for the next HOYS ticket or maybe even the Olympics! When you give your child a pony, you give them more than just something to ride. You give them a sport, a talent, hope and dreams. Friends, a new family, a place to learn about life, room to grow as a person where they can push their limits, and bravery, and courage, and memories. And they will have ALL of these things, simply because you gave your child a pony. Because you gave your child a pony, you too will develop new/lifelong friendships, developed solely from the same passion for the sport. You will have an equestrian family because you gave your child a pony. Then one day, many years from todaythey will be in their room and a certain trophy will catch their eye. And they will pick it up and realise instantly that when you gave them a pony, you also gave them a childhood that they would never forget. At this point, you realise that everything you gave up along the way and sacrificed was totally worth it.. All because you gave your child a pony...

16.01.2022 That sad time has come ... we are looking to find Glitch a new home...Please share if you know a strong little rider looking to gain confidence and love him to ...bits. 13.2h 13yo in July Fresian x ARP Gelding unregisted. Glitch is a beautiful natured boy who has been a great first pony for my daughter for the last 3 years. He has amazing ground manners and can be loved and pampered all day. He has more woh than go. No buck, kick, bite or bolt. Good to catch, rug, float and feet. Fine with other horses, dogs and cattle. He has done PC, gymkanas, clinics and trails. He inst spooky, but does scare at large groups of loud motor bikes. Glitch requires a energetic rider who is not afraid to lead. He can drop out of the canter and requires a strong leg on to keep him going. Would suite a confident beginner. Alternatively his temperament lends its self to lead line as well. Located Mooloolah Valley *$3500* Will only sell to the best fit home. Please PM any questions.

14.01.2022 How much weight can a horse carry? In my experience, a horse can carry an infinite amount. They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken... bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. Moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person, horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams; and they will carry the stress from your day when you cant carry it anymore. They carry graduations, they carry new careers, they carry moves away from everything familiar, they carry marriages, they carry divorces, they carry funerals, they carry babys before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes, they carry joy, they carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations. They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs. If you let them, they will carry you through life, and life is hard, life is heavy. But a horse will make you feel weightless under it all. Author unknown

13.01.2022 Continuing the down sizing.... Now that my last Riding Pony mares have safely delivered their gorgeous baby colts, they are now available to good homes with the...ir beautiful bubs The queen, Kolbeach Roses has given me THE most exquisite bay colt and and the lovely Langtree Charisma has given me a very lovely chestnut colt Both are by the brilliant Willowcroft Alliance (exp) and are typical of his progeny, superb quality and refinement, super pretty, superb high set fronts , amazing movement and so much attitude. These mares are treasures- they carry some of the most beautiful and successful lines in Australia and Alliance embodies all that people expect when they hear the name Willowcroft . The colts are truly exceptional and potential super star saddle and breeding horses. In the interest of getting these mares and foals into their new homes quickly so their new owners can get the mares bred, I will accept the absolute bargain price of three thousand for each mare and foal. I believe the colts are worth more than that by themselves so this is an excellent opportunity for serious breeders to obtain some of the best at way below value as long as they can offer caring homes. This is not an easy decision for me, I had so many plans for these mares and their babies. See more

01.01.2022 Offered for your consideration. 6yo QH x pinto mare 14.1hh (approx) Prada is sadly offered to the best of homes due to no longer having a rider. Prada will be o...ffered in weeks to come as she is about to be brought back into work with professional trainer. Can be reg Pinto and is an absolutely beautiful mare to look at! Has lovely movement and a lot to offer. Prada was started beautifully under saddle by Professional horseman. Prada is best suited to an intermediate/experienced rider. Although quiet and awesome under saddle she benefits from having a confident partner in her rider. Prada is amazing out in the trail- kangaroos, motor bikes, hills, water- no problems at all! She has had ropes thrown off her to dummy cows and she has also happily explored obstacles. Prada has gone for long periods without being ridden and is safe to hop on and go- although she definitely benefits from consistency on the ground. Im very up front and honest about my horses if ever offered for sale and welcome any questions. Prada is an absolute delight and a very special soul in our family- this decision certainly has not come lightly but we would love for Prada to have a more forfilling life than being a paddock ornament. Easy keeper, great to float etc etc. please share as we would love to have the perfect home for Prada Located Geelong area Price will be reflected to cost of training. *** EDITED TO ADD- if you are going to message me and only ask for price- you are not the right fit for Prada as first on your list should always be suitability of fit for Prada and yourself. I simply will not answer messages that lack asking for information or lack of manners ** See more
