24.01.2022 PINCH + A PUNCH... February 1 folks! Glorious social January is over, the kids are back at school and it’s time to kick off!! So I decided to choose a word for this year. A touchstone to keep the plan front and centre. I mulled over a few. Trying them on for size. And I’ve decided it’s REIGNITE.... I’m not saying I’m a motor that’s conked out and needs a jumpstart - though Lordy I had my moments last year. 21.01.2022 No pants? No problem! I gotta tell you it took a while for this lick-your-face-and-squeeze-you big people lover, to embrace online.... But needs must and as 2020 has delivered almost a whole year of zip 1:1 loving, this old dog has learnt some new tricks.... Sure I’m not in clients’ bathrooms spritzing and plumping, I’m not in kitchens whizzing smoothies, or sharing a herbal tea and testing lippies. But guys I am out there and having FUN! 09.01.2022 Let’s talk sunscreen If, like me, you’ve just realised your stash from last year is nearly gone or expired, here are my tips for choosing a healthy tox-free sunscreen this summer: Broad spectrum protection is key. UVA causes ageing + UVB causes burning. And both ultraviolet rays are classified as human carcinogens meaning they cause cancer. ... A mineral sunscreen is generally healthier than a chemical sunscreen. They protect the skin by forming a layer on top rather than absorbing through the skin. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide based sunscreens are excellent options. You also want to look for non-nano products, these come without the smaller particles that again can absorb into the skin and bloodstream. SPF 15 and 30 are ideal. You can go for a higher SPF but they typically don’t provide that much more protection. It’s more important to reapply often and thoroughly. Good news! I’ve got you covered. Literally. ABC SPF30 is for the whole body and what we all use at the beach. Day moisturisers for men and women with SPF15 that act exactly like a gorgeous moisturiser and don’t leave you white or greasy (in case you’re wondering). 05.01.2022 HEY HEY! A quick wee intro to the new friends on here:) I’m Victoria, Vic, Tors to two of my sisters and Vickie Lee on the run from Texas to a handful (but that’s another story!)... I’m married to the amazing Tindi Sorbera and Mamma to 2 funny, spirited and kind girls. This little tribe is everything. A kiwi living in Melbourne, I left NZ in 2001 not realising I wouldn’t return home to live... But never say never hey. I come from beautiful parents, have 3 ace sisters and multitudes of nieces, nephews, BILs, aunts, uncles and cousins and everyone loves a laugh and a good story. I adore people and conversation, singing and music of all shapes and sizes, food and travelling. Nothing makes me happier than a full table surrounded by people I adore. Good thing I married a Sicilian! After living in the UK we had a few golden years living in Lisboa, Portugal learning the language and exploring Europe which happily included lots of celebrations with Tin’s fam in Italy. I started my career in govt and then at parliament in NZ (serving 2 female Prime Ministers yaaaas!) and fell in love with the nocturnal, creative world and people of hospo and events in London. After moving to Melbourne in 2007 I returned to local govt to work projects that make a difference and still love it. I started my social marketing business with Arbonne in 2014 for more time flexibility and a way to earn from home around the girls and life changed again. I was opened up to the energising world of personal development, online business and mentorship, and haven’t looked back. A fun fact about me - when I was 11 my family won a competition singing on the radio to Club Med New Caledonia! We sang ‘Tomorrow’ from Annie - still a fave shower tune Any surprises there? 03.01.2022 Have you ever had a time where the same message keeps showing up? I have. In these last few days I’ve heard over and over ‘trust and surrender’. It was in my book, a guided meditation, from a friend and then in a webinar. Talk about making yourself loud and clear universe! Trusting and surrendering isn’t as easy as it sounds though right? Especially if, like me, you kinda like having a handle on the ‘what’s next’. So what I’m learning (slowly) is that when we hold too tightl...y to the outcome and get hung up on what ‘should’ happen, we close ourselves off to all the unexpected amazingness that could happen to us. And we get stuck. And that’s where I’ve been for awhile. The antidote to this weird form of self-sabotage is gratitude. Buckets of it. Feeling grateful for the big things and the little things as often as possible moves us out of fear and towards trust and that, I’m learning, is where the magic is. Tough going in a pandemic sure, but from where I’m sitting in my bedroom office in Balaclava, trusting and surrendering feels like a good option. See more

To lift me up. To reassure me. To nudge me out of my own way. To give me a plan. To reinforce me. To inspire me. And to remind me of the grace that comes from faith I’ve always loved reading. I remember Dad saying I’d need glasses like Nana if I kept reading by torchlight under the covers - ha ...and he was right! In this season in particular, books have been a gift to reconnect to myself. And also to escape. What’s missing from this pile - because it’s sitting beside Amelia’s bed - is Harry Potter The Order of the Phoenix. We’ve been marching through the series since April and the magical world has captured our imaginations. What a fun gift to experience together!
