25.01.2022 Federal Government Stimulus Package - Find out what it means for you.

24.01.2022 Hi all With less than 24 to go - and many potential insurance claims in the winds as a result of Coronavirus - those most vulnerable may not have any insurance within their super anymore. Please PLEASE do something during this ‘downtime’ and #checkyoursuper #checkyourinsurance. We are reminded to do this with our smoke detectors each and every year (twice in fact), but never seem to do this with our other biggest asset (our super), and definitely our biggest asset (our lives).... If you, your families, or your loved ones need a hand pls contact our office: Email: [email protected] Phone: 1300086729 Web: www.vwm.net.au Take care, be well and stay healthy! Team VWM See more

22.01.2022 Hi all Many people often ask: * why are you so passionate? * why even bother?... Well this is a BIG reason why we we love what we do! Thank you MDRT for showing solidarity with Australia. This is why I aspire each year to qualify as a member of the World's premier association of financial professionals! As my dear friend and #mentor Godfrey Phillips has said many times over the years: we speak MDRT #servingthecommunity #bushfire #wecare #love #thankyou #financialadvice #mdrt

20.01.2022 Hi all We saw this post by our #PrimeMinister earlier today, and thought it was an excellent way to thank those tireless souls working in the health and allied health sectors Australia. We had to share (and this not being political - just acknowledging the awesome terrific work they’re doing at present).... Our health professionals will be at the frontline of our fight against the #coronavirus over the next few months. A heartfelt thank you from all Australians for everything you are doing, and will do. We are doing everything we can to #flattenthecurve to ease the burden on you. Thank you also to all the other incredible people on the frontline working to support our communities - including teachers, teacher aids, cleaners, delivery drivers, bus and train drivers, supermarket workers and so many others. You are the best of Australia.

10.01.2022 Hi everyone This article is a good reminder that when it comes to JobSeeker Payment and therefore Coronavirus Supplement, partner’s income must be considered as it can affect eligibility. JobSeeker payment has a unique income test, where partner’s income is assessed based on the partner category. ... If the claimant is partnered with someone who does not receive any payments from Centrelink, then their partner’s income is only included if it exceeds $993.50 per fortnight ($25,831 p.a). Where the partner’s income is > $993.50 per fn, it reduces entitlement by 60 cents. Given that the partnered rate is $510.80 per fortnight ($13,281 p.a), this means that if the partner’s income is > $1,845 per fortnight ($47,966 pa), the person will be ineligible [(47,966 - 25,831) * 60%]. This is what the Minister was referring to when she quoted the $48,000 figure. If the person’s spouse is a pensioner over pension age, then half the couple’s combined income is assessed for JobSeeker payment, with the disqualification threshold still at $25,831 Where the pensioner spouse is working, they may be eligible to have first $300 per fn disregarded under Work Bonus. Working through the numbers, this means that a pensioner would disqualify their Jobseeker spouse if their income was > $59,462 [(59,462-7,800)/2] Of course if you need any further information or assistance, we can be reached at the office: Phone: 1300086729 (please leave a message as we’re working remotely) Email: [email protected] Web: www.vwm.net.au Be well, stay safe.
