13.01.2022 Carlos Saliba runs Victor Supper Club on Lincoln Causeway, but the Victoria Police checkpoint is quite literally on his front door and killing his business. Aft...er losing countless bookings thanks to COVID restrictions, Carlos is fighting for survival now that the Andrews Government has set up a small town of tents, traffic restrictions, vehicles and goodness knows what else, all in the name of keeping Victoria 'safe'. Carlos has watched helplessly as his flow of customers evaporated, put off by the checkpoint which is effectively preventing people from reaching him. His restaurant is still accessible - it's still possible to turn right off Lincoln Causeway coming from Wodonga, but you'd easily be forgiven for believing it's closed off. There are countless businesses doing it tough along the border, and I'll be asking the Andrews Government what it will do to ensure the border closure infrastructure does not destroy Carlos's business. #opentheborder #openvictoria

13.01.2022 Yes we are open and you can turn right. It has been a great challenge to get access to gateway island from the causeway. It has been a real pain to navigate the last few weeks.
