02.01.2022 As you may be aware, the impact of COVID-19 to the AFL has been devastating resulting in the suspension of the AFL men’s competition and cancelation of the AFLW season. As a result of the financial impact this has had on our industry, 80% of the AFL’s workforce have been temporarily stood down, including all members of the National and State Diversity and Disability Inclusion team. Those team members who have been stood down, at this stage have been communicated a recommence...ment date of June 1 in alignment of community football and professional competitions return. There are no guarantees that this will be the date of return due to COVID-19 and further restrictions/impact that is likely to occur. Moving forward, from Monday 30th March, our team will not be in operation and by extension the VWFL the Disability Inclusion team deliver until Monday 1st June 2020 at a minimum, before another decision will be made. We ask for your patience during this time whilst our staff are on stand down and we will do our upmost to keep you informed on any new developments.
