22.01.2022 The ten days on the island festival is coming up and the east coast is a part of it. There are some interesting events coming up at the Spring Bay Mill at Triabunna. There is Tin Shed Baroque on the 26 March and people are invited to navigate the dynamic terrain from 17 to 26 March. Details are at tendays.org.au Why not stay at Views on Charles and not only enjoy the local sites but ten days on the island.

19.01.2022 Welcome to Views on Charles. This spacious holiday home provides couples or a family a coastal getaway only one hour from Hobart, 50 minutes from the airport or approximately two hours and twenty minutes from Launceston. This three bedroom home is fully contained and has lovely coastal views from the master bedroom, open plan living areas and front decks.... The home sleeps six people. The huge master bedroom provides a quiet adult retreat with its own deck, ensuite and walk-in robe. The other bedrooms have built-in robes, one with a queen size bed and the other with two King single beds. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining has floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors to a long deck furnished with a comfortable outdoor lounge for taking in the views. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, oven, hot plates, microwave and dishwasher with basic pantry items supplied. A reverse cycle air conditioner keeps the indoors comfortable no matter the weather. A host of extras are available for you to enjoy. This includes a three person spa in the main bathroom, a table tennis table in the shed, a DVD player, DVDs, games as well as a gas barbecue on the back deck. A cot and high chair are also available. Views on Charles is an easy seven minute walk to the beach, playground and a local cafe (with free wifi) and supermarket and is less than a five minute drive to Spring Beach. Orford is known as the gateway to the east coast of Tasmania with easy access for trips to Maria Island, Swansea and boutique wineries. It is also an easy day trip to the Tasman Peninsula where you can visit Port Arthur historic site and other nearby tourist attractions. Orford is a beautiful coastal town with trails along the coast for walking or bike riding; a large well designed playground with barbecue facilities; cafe; wood fired pizza restaurant; road house; local pub with counter meals and a supermarket.
