25.01.2022 Obedience and manners training with the lovely Daisy. Like many dogs, she is home alone while her owners work, so we also discussed enrichment options and exercise to prevent destructive behaviours due to boredom.
25.01.2022 Who can relate
24.01.2022 It's important to keep the older dogs fit to slow down the effects of ageing.
23.01.2022 Happy 10th birthday Pixie! Always a good dog
20.01.2022 Happy 9th birthday Obi
19.01.2022 New puppy/dog regret is real. The good news is that if youve adopted a dog from a shelter or rescue in the last 3 months, your initial training session is 50% off. Yes, 50% off. Training helps make your new dog easier to live with, helps you and your dog bond, and can minimise or prevent behavioural issues. Book your initial session today.
18.01.2022 If you never bother your dog while it eats, it will have no reason to guard its bowl.
18.01.2022 Interesting read.
15.01.2022 Puppy training with Alfie the 13 week old dachshund, specifically housetraining and recall, but also other foundation skills. Early training makes puppies easier to live with and helps prevent behavioral issues later in life.
14.01.2022 This is a good guide.
13.01.2022 Training session with Tom the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Tom is the sweetest and most loving dog you could ever meet, but also very excitable and he needed some work on being able to stay calm in exciting situations and being able to calm down. He had responded very well to training. And look at that face!
12.01.2022 This is a thing, right?
12.01.2022 As many of us dog owners also have cats, this could be useful.
11.01.2022 Surprisingly accurate But with good training we can make it more like the top picture. Contact me today to start the journey.
09.01.2022 Looks like I need to get some new artwork. Whos with me?
09.01.2022 A lot of dog owners think that messing with their dogs food while they eat will help prevent guarding issues, but in fact the opposite is true. The more you bother a dog while they eat the more they feel a need to guard their food, while if theyre always left alone to eat they will have no reason to guard.
08.01.2022 I quite like the name Sturdy for a dog. Drunkard
07.01.2022 Throwback to the gorgeous Bozley which I worked with back in 2014. We worked on a barking issue as well as general manners and obedience.
06.01.2022 Who can relate?
06.01.2022 Puppy training with Duke. Hes going to be a big dog so his owner wanted to get started with obedience and manners training early. Manners are important for all dogs, but especially giant breeds as any behavioral issues or lack of manners are so much more noticeable. And I promise Duke wasnt as sad about it as he looks in the picture
04.01.2022 This is all too familiar
04.01.2022 Obedience training with Quinn the Kelpie. At 1 year old she has had some training but has some issues with selective hearing when it comes to things like sit and come. We are already seeing some improvement after only one session.
04.01.2022 Working to fix some tension that is happening between Zeus and the other dog in his household. Both are sweet dogs who get along well most of the time, and we are working on fixing some triggers which have caused some issues.
04.01.2022 Crate training with Loke (left) and Archie. Crate training is generally a good idea, it allows for easy separation of dogs if you have more than one, a convenient place to put them away when you need them out of the way, and if they ever need to stay at the vet they will feel safe in the crate. But also, the crate can be used as a training tool to teach new behaviours, to solidify existing behaviours, teach great self-control, and for distraction work. In Archie and Lokes case we are working on some doggy conflicts related to guarding as well as general manners and obedience.
01.01.2022 Wishing everyone a merry Christmas!
