23.01.2022 On July 29th 1948, Sir Ludwig Guttman instituted an international sporting event for people with injuries and disabilities. This tradition is continuing today in the form of the Summer Paralympics and Winter Paralympics. I am immensely proud to have been part of this tradition at the Athens 2004 Paralympics. I went on to win a gold medal in cycling, as a pilot with my tandem partner Lindy Hou OAM in the sprint, broke a world record in the 200m fly, and a bronze medal in the Kilo. Happy 70th Birthday to the Paralympics
