24.01.2022 God’s word to children and parents | Daily Bible Time | Colossians 3:20-21 Today a few extra thoughts that I didn’t quite get time for in yesterday’s address at Village Church. Col. 3:20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.

23.01.2022 Village Evenings - Dominic Steele - Why? Who? When? And How? of marriage and sex. We will look at which issues are right or wrong, wise or foolish. And which are matters of freedom.

23.01.2022 Not far from the kingdom of heaven | Village Mornings | Dominic Steele | Mark 12:28-34 Jesus says to the man, 'You are not far from the kingdom.' In a sense that's high praise given the interactions he's been having with the various leaders of the Jewish Temple. But a miss is as good as a mile? How can we not just be 'not far from the kingdom', but actually be assured of 'eternity as citizens of the king'?... The comment from Jesus comes in the context of an exchange about the most important commandment, to love God from all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Join us live from Village Church today as Dominic Steele opens up this important passage.

23.01.2022 A disturbing command | 1 Corinthians 11:17 On Daily Bible Time today we are going to turn our attention to one passage on the Lord’s Supper. This passage is not all the Bible says on the subject. But it is the passage that deals most fully and clearly with the Lord’s Supper.... What we are going to do is listen to an interaction between the Apostle Paul and the Corinthian Church. And the thing that I have discovered is that when I read this passage in the context of Paul’s letter to the Corinthians rather than plucking it out of context and whole lot of things are given a slightly different perspective.

16.01.2022 God’s love! Our joy! Romans 5:1-11 Where am I? Where are you in terms of relationship with God? Where are you with God? Are you avoiding him? Are you enjoying him? Are you using him? Or do you desire/want him? Are you excited by him? What are the vital signs of a healthy relationship with God? And have you got them? It’s a pulse check on our relationship with God this morning from Romans 5:1-11 with Matt Stones

14.01.2022 Pursuing unity in the church | Daily Bible Time | 1 Corinthians 11:21-22 1 Corinthians 11:21-22 One remains hungry, another gets drunk. 22 Don't you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing?

13.01.2022 Walking worthy of the Lord in marriage and family (Colossians 3:17-21) How does Christian marriage work? And what about families? What is expected of husbands, wives, fathers, children? What is God’s pattern for us? Join us as Dominic Steele takes us to the ‘family life application’ of what it looks like to ‘Walk worthy of the Lord’ from Colossians 3:17-21.

12.01.2022 We love investing in the lives of the high school students in our church. Rory is one of those teenagers, who has been growing in his walk with Jesus this year. Praise God for his story! "Over the past year I’ve grown greatly in my faith. I’ve benefitted from a leadership camp (LiT) which has helped me realise that being able to serve Jesus is a privilege and blessing. I’ve begun serving in the Village Kids team, looking after the Infants group with Caleb and Abraham w...hich has been great. It’s helped me get to know some of the older people at church better, which has been really helpful as I’ve started going to Village Evenings. Public has been great as well, now that we start a little bit later than before Covid, we get to enjoy dinner together and get to chat with eachother over food which has been really good. I keep praying that my friends would say yes to coming along to Public so they could hear more about Jesus."

08.01.2022 As we approach the end of our vision season at Village, our members are provided the chance to make a stand and pledge towards the vision of our church. We're looking forward to a great Sunday together, as we collective support the direction our church is headed in 2021 and onwards!

08.01.2022 Run from sexual immorality Glorify God in your body | 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 | Daily Bible Time 1 Corinthians 6:18 Run from sexual immorality! Every sin a person can commit is outside the body. On the contrary, the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. 19 Don’t you know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.

06.01.2022 Sunday is around the bend, we're looking forward to gathering for the first Sunday of February. The journey towards the cross continues as Jesus meets with a scribe who is 'not far from the kingdom of God'. We'll see you at 9:30 or 6:00!

05.01.2022 Remembrance Day | Daily Bible Time On Daily Bible Time today we spend time thanking God for those who gave their lives for this country in particular in war. There will be services across the world at 11am marking the end of the war.... I will tell the story as part of the service of one of the members of our church who made the ultimate sacrifice in World War One.

04.01.2022 The Christian and so called casual sex | 1 Corinthians 6:12-17 | Daily Bible Time 1 Corinthians 6:12-17 Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is helpful. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be brought under the control of anything. 13 Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, but God will do away with both of them. The body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 God raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. 15 Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body? So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not! 16 Don’t you know that anyone joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For Scripture says, The two will become one flesh. 17 But anyone joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
