22.01.2022 Just wanted to share some of the amazing work of the Scrub Cap Army - Redland. Many locals have donated fabrics and elastics, I am doing bulk cutting and we have hundreds of volunteers making a the caps. Thus far we have distributed 995 caps to Redlands Hospital staff, QAS, Gympie Hospital, Robina and Gold Coast Hospitals and have many more gathering to send out as requested. Well done to all! 22.01.2022 We have several hundred Reusable Fabric Face Masks in stock here today. Several sizes and styles from kids to adults. We are open until 1 pm today, and 10am to 2pm tomorrow. With the current outbreak associated with the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre we are being advised to be sure on our social distancing. If you are unable to keep your distance a mask may provide you with reassurance and protection. Dont forget if you are sick - get tested!

12.01.2022 We have been inundated with requests for Fabric Face Masks. Sam, Cathie and helpers currently have hundreds under construction and will hopefully have some ready for sale next week (if the elastic order arrives by then!) We are not taking orders or special requests as that would slow the whole process down. We will have two styles available with minimum three layers of fabric, filter and/or interfacing and in many colours. It will be first come first served and we will contin...ue to make while the demand exists! Thank you for your patience and understanding of our need to get it perfect to protect you! In the meantime you could try the organic mask if you are desperate!

This weeks new addition is the smile mask with a clear vinyl window in the front which is useful for people who work with people who are hearing impaired. (Limited number available)

10.01.2022 With the success of Queensland’s fight against the COVID19 Virus in recent weeks, we have decided to increase our opening hours next week and in the lead up to Christmas. All social distancing requirements will remain in place, especially the maximum of 6 people in the shop at one time. New hours will be- Tuesday to Saturday - 9am - 4pm Sunday - 10am - 2pm... Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout the last 6 months.

06.01.2022 We have been sewing face masks in our waking and our sleeping and do have some ready and available in the shop today. Prices are from $12.50 - $15. Please dont rush in if you dont need them urgently. We will keep making them whilst the need exists.

04.01.2022 A massive thank you to all who have been in this week to buy masks. We have been overwhelmed by the response. We have made well over 300 masks this week. Thank you Can I please ask for patience and understanding as we try to keep up supplies. Each mask takes 8 - 10 mins to make and we have to work in a production line process to keep that tight. We are sewing, ironing, folding and packaging as quickly as we can to keep up. There are limited colours to choose from because of d...emand - sorry, it is what it is. We are not in a position currently to take orders, holds and phone orders. If and when things slow down we may be able to. Thanks again and please stay safe.

04.01.2022 Im putting a call out for more fabric donations. Weve had an incredible amount of donations, and because of that an amazing amount of scrub caps made and distributed. We are now running low, particularly on fabric. To continue the great work we desperately need 100% cotton fabric. Preferably in standard width (44inches) If you or anyone you know can help please contact either Melanie OBrien or Cathie Stone...
