13.01.2022 This June long weekend marks the first full weekend of regional travel in NSW as COVID-19 restrictions continue to be lifted. We are excited to welcome you back...! Normally the opening of the snow season, this weekend will be different to any we've experienced before. We continue to work together to meet NSW Health guidelines to reduce the potential of a COVID-19 outbreak ahead of the snow season. As part of these strategies, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has outlined partial closures of Kosciuszko National between 5 9 June 2020. For a breakdown of the closures or further information relating to NPWS, please contact them directly or head to their website. https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au//koscius/local-alerts Looking for fun activities to do while visiting the region this long weekend, head to our website https://www.snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au/156/Tourism Photograph by Luke Hasaart Photography

11.01.2022 MAJOR COLD SNAP, SNOW DOWN TO 550M A Complex low and associated cold front is set to bring vigorous and cold Antarctic air along with enough moisture for goo...d snowfall. Our first front will arrive through Wednesday, delivering around 20-30cm of snow for our alpine regions. A much stronger and colder burst will arrive later Thursday and into Friday, with the snow line dropping to 550m in NSW! Snow showers can be expected all the way up the Great Dividing Range to the Queensland border if there is enough moisture to meet this cold air. We will bring you further details as the weekend gets closer. www.nswincidentalerts.com
