25.01.2022 The Honeyglaze got into the studio today to record some songs. We had our mate Jordan come film video for us and Ant from the new Prose Space in Currumbin do the technical stuff and we appreciate the epic job both boys did! Since I've been back it's been mayhem fitting work, gigs, house viewings and house applications (yuck!), and a couple cheeky open mics in. The bass has been getting abused again mostly in band's and not so much of my solo acoustic stuff but how can I complain when I hang out with mates and play music. A few solo gigs to be confirmed soon so my hometown homies can finally come watch a gig! A BIG announcement is coming! I'll leave it at that and post up my weekends gigs tomorrow. Hint...? Basically you can see me on the reg if you want to ;) talk soon fam!
23.01.2022 HEY GC CREW!!! EXCITING NEWS!!! I'VE WET MYSELF ALREADY!!! (That wasn't the big news, but it did dehydrate me) I'm hosting a new OPEN MIC in Cooly on Wednesday nights. Already been telling people about it for a couple weeks now. Come down for some fun and see what could be the next Cool thing to do ya know! I know so many talented people around the Southern GC so if all you legends could come on the first night we would probably have to close, but if like a whole lot came th...at'd be awesome. In all seriousness, we are getting serious and have been in chats with each other for some time now, and concluded our previous arrangement, and from hence forth be known as...... The Honeyglaze Shit was just getting too real and we really had to be real with ourselves and each other's reality. Really feeling the realness that's evolved and we gotta do what we feel is the truest path for all of us involved. Same energy we have been putting into the music but now it's all 1/3 equal parts commitment, creative input, etc. Less politics, more realness! A recipe for Honeyglazing will be coming soon, recording this week 2 songs that are probably our favourite energetically and can share it with you guys even if you don't come to gigs :P

10.01.2022 Excuse the potato phone camera from Woolies! Me and Justin played a duo Bredda's gig last night at the Bangalow Hotel, he took lead vocals and guitar on first and third set while I played bass and we swapped over second set. Felt way different without a drummer. We had space to be a bit softer and I didn't expect it to work as well at a pub but the response was good and it's really the song choices that work with the crowd. I got my slap on to bring some intensity and break u...p the niceness and Justin gave the old Stingray a more melodic feel. Doesn't matter what instruments we play, the player and soul come through. It's been ages since I've played an electric at full tilt and I miss it. So much dynamic range Wish we had more footage from our gigs but the MEMORYYYYY REMAAAAIIIIINNSSSSS!!!
