25.01.2022 Happy Easter to all our clients and especially to our wonderful volunteers, not forgetting our generous donors!

20.01.2022 The generosity of our treasured volunteers continues! We are now able to serve lunch on Saturdays - 12:30 to 1:30pm, making Vinnies Kitchen a 7-day operation! Please check Meal Times for the daily variation.... These additional days are temporary. We currently have sole use of the hall but this will probably change when restrictions are modified by the relevant authorities.

20.01.2022 As promised, Vinnies Kitchen will open on public holidays while we get through this Covid-19 situation. So we will be serving hot soup and a hot *takeaway* meal as normal. We will serve from 5-6pm, but be early as we have limited food...

13.01.2022 Thanks to our valiant band of volunteers, we are able to offer a takeaway lunch every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm - for the time being. So, if you are in need of a delicious hot cup of soup and a very tasty, hot meal - or if you know of someone who does - please come to the Rosebud Youth & Band Hall. We're next to the Sound Shell on the Village Green @ 980 Point Nepean Road, Rosebud.... Please ensure you are wearing a mask as we cannot serve you otherwise. We have hand sanitiser for you to use before you receive your meal. Salt & pepper, as well as wooden cutlery and a serviette, will be provided to you in a plastic bag. Please dispose of properly. Please move well away after you get your lunch as you can not sit near us to eat. Also check the timetable for daily meal times, as they vary.

12.01.2022 Vinnies Kitchen has been very fortunate to have generous and caring people and organisations working with us. Today we received another delivery of frozen, cooked meals from the wonderful team at GenU Rosebud's kitchen. The meals were able to be made, thanks to the generosity of Oz Harvest rescuing Woolworths' produce. ... This delivery completed the restoration of cooking, completely filling our freezers with meals. Added to the private sponsorship of our purchases of bulk meat from Peninsula Bulk Meats, Vinnies Kitchen is now in the enviable position of being ready and able to provide full meal service when the COVID-19 restrictions are finally lifted.

09.01.2022 Acting on a lead, Vinnies Kitchen contacted BerleyPro in Somerville, who immediately and generously donated 30 clear plastic face shields for our volunteers! We have some truly wonderful companies here on the peninsula, who have an unsparing community spirit. Thank you!

09.01.2022 We have the all-clear! Vinnies will re-open Thursday for roast dinner!

08.01.2022 Vinnies Kitchen is once again very grateful to OzHarvest, for a generous delivery of vegetables and fruit yesterday to GenU Rosebud. The fruit was taken to our hall to be given out to the needy, both at our meal times and shared with a number of local hostels. The vegetables are even now being made into meals for our clients.

06.01.2022 A BIG thank you to Oz Harvest for yet another generous food delivery to our kitchen at GenU Rosebud yesterday (Monday)! Your 'rescued' (Woolworths) fruit and vegetables are essential to us being able to continue feeding the needy, with GenU cooking up fantastic, delicious meals from them!

04.01.2022 Stage 4 Restrictions have made it a little bit more difficult for our clients. The 3 seats outside our facility have been cleared by the Shire for use by our clients. We are handing out the whole meal (soup and meal) as a complete TAKE AWAY in a small bag. ... We continue to put out additional, donated food items as well as donated winter wear, on a separate table. Face coverings are necessary for both volunteers inside the facility and our clients outside. Stay safe.

04.01.2022 This ANZAC Day weekend we will all pause to reflect on those who gave their lives for us. Lest we Forget

01.01.2022 Deepest sympathy to the families and colleagues of the four police officers killed in the line of duty.
