20.01.2022 Janice Alexander from Vintage 2 Modern has been an Annie Sloan stockist for over two years and recently moved to a stunning new shop in Windsor at the foothills... of the Blue Mountains just out of Sydney. Today, she is our proud Sunday Stockist! The new shop is housed within a striking 1834 building that is the third oldest in Windsor and was built as a family home by George Loder, an original explorer in the Hunter region. Thankfully, it was saved from demolition in the 1970s by the local community and is today home to Vintage 2 Modern and an enterprising co-op of local artists all contributing to the atmosphere and fostering an artistic community. Open six days a week with lots of friendly staff to answer questions, Janice stocks the full range of Annie Sloan products and will also be opening an outside workshop area in the new year. Prior to discovering her skills in vintage upcycling, Janice was a nurse but has found her change of career to be a great decision: I love the Annie Sloan paint and the way it transforms old furniture into stylish pieces that would be more than likely be dumped, the idea of saving and using pieces in a new way is very satisfying in this age of waste. The paints, waxes and all the accessories are so easy to work with and customers love to see what they can achieve.
