25.01.2022 Tired entrance to your place? Gateway and entrance upgraded using the existing metal gate. The new panels look fresh and inviting.
24.01.2022 There’s no doubt about it, things were built to last back in the day. The old paling fence has been mostly replaced with about 40 metres of new fence. The ironbark posts were mortised with a chainsaw and the rails neatly fitted to accommodate the palings. The new fence will last another 60 or 70 years. There’s something magical about natural timber!
15.01.2022 This photo was sent through by a customer. Loading cattle never looked so stress free!
14.01.2022 A recently completed fence line and entrance with custom made grid. The timber has been mortised using a chainsaw, with the top rail matching the roof gradient of the round house (earlier posts show the construction of the round house). Another happy customer and cattle.

13.01.2022 There’s nothing quite like freshly sawn timber! Yard repairs in progress with A1 quality and attention to detail.
12.01.2022 A Lucas Portable Mill and Stringy Bark timber rails make yard repairs a pleasure and something out of a picture book!
11.01.2022 Working with cypress pine to build custom made doors to match a shed built around the late 1940s or 1950s. It’s all about attention to detail. Love the smell of freshly cut cypress. #toowoombabusiness #vintage #attentiontodetail #fencing #rural #rurallife #toowoomba #cypresspine #cypresstimber #oldstyle #qualityoverquantity #madetolast #backintheday

10.01.2022 The flood disaster in NWQ is nothing short of catastrophic. Farmers whose livelihoods are dependent on the land, have been devastated. We too are farmers, who have been subjected to nature’s cycles but are fortunate to be able to supplement our farming income with outside work. For many farmers in NWQ, their farm income is their only income source. We are hurting with our farmers from the north and want to help. We can’t depend on our government so we need to band together t...o help each other. Once the flood waters have receded and dried, they will have lush feed for livestock but few livestock. The cost of restocking will be unaffordable. We live on a small farm in Southern Queensland and are in drought. We have been supplementing our livestock with feed for months. We would like to donate 10% of our weaners to the flood ravaged farmers in NWQ to assist with restocking. This gesture would not only help us with fewer mouths to feed, but also help those in most need. Is there any other small farmer interested in donating 10% of their weaners (or whatever they can spare) to help with restocking? Perhaps if we could get enough people on board, we could make a difference and help our fellow farmers. Send us a message if you think you can help. Please feel free to share this post. #farmershelpingfarmers
06.01.2022 Quality takes time, but excellence takes a little longer. Stable doors to perfection!
05.01.2022 Tack room entrance with sliding barn doors and plenty of room to move. Lucky horses !
05.01.2022 Recently completed race and ramp. A stock yard with a view and beautiful shady Moreton Bay fig for protection in the hot Aussie sun. What more could you want? #localbusiness #tomarkettomarket #oldstyle #keepingitlocal #toowoombaregion #cattleyards
03.01.2022 A little creativity using the available materials make the job unique and custom made. The hen house door is crafted using... a recycled hoop pine door and bolt. The bespoke handle is crafted from a piece of bush timber. Hen heaven right there!
03.01.2022 We hope everyone is getting some much needed rain. It’s been a while since we’ve seen water trickling down the driveway. We’ve measured 120mm over the last couple of weeks. Where are you and how much rain have you measured?
01.01.2022 Wet weather means working indoors and making use of time. The custom made doors were made to match a shed built in the late ‘40s or early ‘50s. Timber is beautiful to work with and so versatile! #timber #vintage #vintagebuilding #vintagestylefencingandgateways #vintagefencing #vintagetimber #madetolast #perfection #oldandnew #toowoombaregion #toowoomba #toowoombabusiness #toowoombaliving
